Advice on diet.
Hello I find this site very informative. Mediterian diet does it include smoked salmon and smoked mackerel or are they too salty. Trying to follow a healthy diet. Had a double bypass in Dec 2020. Making a good recovery. I'm type 2diabetic. Taking a lot of medicine. Accrete D 3. Aspirin 75mg.

Hope this finds everyone OK. Was officially diagnosed with ET post my BMB in December - although my platelets have been high for about 7 years - at first high 400's; then 500's; then 700's; fairly steady progression to last Aug/Sep at 947..been on aspirin only as luckily I have not had many symptoms,

Stop calling it a headache!
I may always have been slow on the uptake. All I know is that I had this epiphany more than 3 1/2 years after my head injury. It isnt a headache! My brain hurts. It dawned on me that when I say headache, people make an assumption. Because everyone has headaches and everyone knows what they are like

Heparin Injections - Advice Please?
Hi all, I’m due to have my third transfer next Tuesday and have been prescribed heparin injections and 75mg aspirin from day of transfer. This has stemmed from a blood test that showed a raised anti-cardiolipin. They normally like to repeat the test in two months to check it’s still raised before diagnosing

Teenage daily migraines
First of all, sorry about my long-winded message. My 14 year old daughter has been getting daily “migraine-like” headaches that last from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to sleep. (This is the description the neurologist gives). She has had them now for 3 months & is unable to participate

Hypothyroidism / hashis and sense of smell...
This is a real oddity. So, when The Husband was 18 he suddenly developed an allergy to aspirin, was diagnosed with nasal polyps, developed asthma, developed allergic rhinitis really badly - he is allergic to dust, pollen, leaf mould, so is fully symptomatic year round and lost his sense of smell. Pretty

Aspirin Use May Decrease Ventilation, ICU admission and Death in COVID-19 Patients.
George Washington University researchers found low dose aspirin may reduce the need for mechanical ventilation, ICU admission and in-hospital mortality in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Final results indicating the lung protective effects of aspirin were published today in Anesthesia & Analgesia.

Clopidogrel or Asprin
At 12 months after 2 stents and I need reduce to one clotting tablet. Clopidogrel is more expensive so they ask you to stick with Asprin but any view whether one or the other is better for life?

Anyone had no symptoms apart from sore breasts and got a positive preg result?
Hey everybody. I had eggs retrieval 7 days ago embryo transfer 5 days ago and i feel absolutely no symptoms at all its so weird. I feel nothing apart from a bit of sore boobs. Im on estrofem 3 times a day and progesterone once a day. And 75mg aspirin per day. Is this a bad sign to not feel cramping

Turmeric supplement
Hi, I have decided to start taking a Turmeric supplement in my never ending quest to alleviate itching' and have bought a box of "ultra turmeric with black pepper and vitamin D" made by Vitabiotics. Each capsule contains 13g turmeric. Does anybody know if this is a safe dose to take with the aspirin

Has anyone being classed as clinically vulnerable for COVID-19 having Hashimoto’s thyroiditis which is an autoimmune disease?
Are you supposed to be classed as clinically vulnerable for COVID-19 if you have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis which is an autoimmune disease. Initially I was sent a letter and a text, last year from the NHS and the government stating I was classed as clinically vulnerable. And advised to shield, however
