Finger prick testing - my blood is too thick

Hi

I'm now seeing a private dr in order to get NDT prescribed. As part of that I need to submit medichecks blood tests so my dose can be adjusted if required. I've done a couple of medichecks tests before and they cause me such stress as my blood is so thick I can usually only manage a thick ball of blood that coagulates quickly.

I'm considering taking a low dose of aspirin (75mg) before I do the test to see if it helps thin my blood. Has anyone else done this before? If so, how many days before my test should I start doing this? Does the aspirin work quickly?

Thanks

Blood failing to flow could be caused by dehydration. It is a good idea to increase the amount of liquid you drink for a day or two before you intend to prick your fingers.
