ANORO ELLIPTA
I was diagnosed with
emphysema
a few months ago and have been using Anoro for the last 3 weeks - nothing has improved. Maybe someone could suggest something better I could talk to my doctor about or should I just be patient! Many thanks for any advice/help or info .....

Lung Reduction
I looked forward to retirement and life in our new home, but that wasn't to be as I'd been living with bronchiectasis and
emphysema
for nine years which had slowly got worse. 2 months after I retied I suddenly got a lung infection and that was it, put on steroids and antibiotics.

Advice
Diagnosis of
emphysema
14 months ago. No real advice given. Told it is mild to severe. Apart from being active what else can I do to slow down this disease. Are there any specific breathing exercises that are good to adopt. I have read a fair amount online but it is not that helpful.

Ccopd and high blood pressure
I was diagnosed in 2020 with mild
emphysema
and have just undergone my first copd review at my gp surgery. Blood pressure was taken and was told it was high so will have to have it monitored over 24hrs. Is high blood pressure a common comorbity for copd and at such an early stage of the disease?

Diagnosed with bronchiectasis and very mild emphysema.
I have been diagnosed with bronchiectasis and very very mild
emphysema
. I had Ct scans with and without contrast which resulted in my diagnosis. I don’t have a cough but I’m told I have hyper inflated lungs .

Misdiagnosed with COPD
Luckily for me, soon after this diagnosis, I was browsing in a natural healing centre and started a conversation with a lady who has
emphysema
. She said her GP surgery was doing testing as normal and had even arranged for her to have pulmonary physio.

I have
Emphysema

He diagnosed severe
emphysema
and said there wasnt anything more that could be done, other than possibly long term low dose steroids. She has seen respiratory team who say she cant have oxygen as she is a retainer.

Getting closer to what's happening
having what the call a hydrogen test where I blow every 20 minutes for 3 hours I raised my bed by 8 Inc and that has taken away the asthma like symptoms as I've a 5cm hiatus hernia and reflux, I'm still not convinced though I'm still persistent with the copd and convinced I've got hyperinflated lungs
