Diagnosed with bronchiectasis and very mild emphysema.

I have been diagnosed with bronchiectasis and very very mild emphysema.

I had Ct scans with and without contrast which resulted in my diagnosis. I don’t have a cough but I’m told I have hyper inflated lungs . Since having the diagnosis my consultant gave me the results on seeing him for the first time and discharged me from his clinic.

No care plan . No treatment or anything. I am very breathless so need some help.

Does anyone know a good consultant who specialises in this condition in the West Sussex area

That is shocking. Have a look at this site:

blf.org.uk/support-for-you

They have a helpline and maybe able to help. You need a doc that specialises is Bronchiectasis as not all respiratory docs are very clued up on it. Alternatively post again on the lung conditions thread there maybe someone who can recommend a consultant on there. Good luck 💕
