My lungs aren't the same, I had 2 pulmonary
embolism
in both lungs. This was caused from my surgery, I had a heart attack too. I had to have this surgery. My jaw could have fractured. I'm thankful to be alive. At the same time I wonder if I'm better off dead.

REGEN-COV Antibody Combination and Outcomes in Outpatients with Covid-19
Just published: phase 3 results of an outpatient trial of Regn-Cov (USA; known as Ronapreve in the UK). Summary results may have been given before by press release, but here is the detail. Interestingly, almost 70 % of the subjects had no detectable antobodies at baseline. Administered in an outpatient

Pulmonary embolism Treatment
Hi I’ve been diagnosed with APS as a result of having clots in the lungs (Pulmonary
embolism
). Current treatment is Apixaban (Eliquis) 5 mg tablet morning and night on going. I have been advised by my specialist that Eliquis may not be as effective as Warfarin.

Effectiveness and Safety of Oral Anticoagulants Among Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation Patients With Active Cancer
Objectives

Vacuolated Neutrophils & Elevated Platelets
While I was there they did a CT scan for a pulmonary
embolism
and they did a portable scan of my lungs. I thought the findings were good as the nodule in my lung shrunk and my lymph nodes also shrunk.

Change in medications
In May I was in the hospital with a Pulmonary
Embolism
and a DVT on my right knee. I was supposed to have surgery on my right knee but it got postponed until 8/16. I am currently recovering from the surgery and praying that my new meds will work.

Two doses of enoxaparin inj a day for APS stroke survivors?
I ve had a couple of dibilatating strokes but w alot of PT(physio) i am very close to 98%. My question is i am on enoxaparin 2.2 mg/kg every twelve hours is this average for most. I know some without strokes take only take 40mg a day as a preventative. What are other”APS stroke” patients taking. Curious

Radiotherapy near plate & screws.
Hi peeps I have a fractured L2 which is causing a lot of pain they are going to do a vertebroplasty procedure and also a plate & screws just above it as I also have a curved spine. The curved spine I have had most of my life and will probably just get worse with age this will strengthen it. My question

Is it advisable to stay at ...say 8mg pred?
It has been a rocky ride with all sorts of complications including Pulmonary
Embolism
& Pneumonia. Have got down to 6mg last year (summer 2020) but at 5.5mg troubles with pains every where. Had knees Xrayed but although nothing showed to warrant the pain.

Super pleased
I recently started a new medication and one of the side effects is pulmonary
embolism
. After having pain in one of my legs last night, it did cross my mind this morning.

Rivaroxaban
Hi guys. I’ve got my ablation coming up on the 16th of august 😬 still not dancing on the ceiling about it but slowly getting my head around it. I’ve got a question about rivaroxaban. I’ve been told to start taking this tomorrow but they didn’t mention how much to take? Due to my age (35) I don’t

I almost died Tuesday
After all the tests they told me I had pulmonary
embolism
in both lungs and clots in my left leg. I’m now on blood thinners for life. This all I need with metastasis to pelvic lymph nodes. Wish me luck 🤞🏻🙏

Abelacimab shown to be an effective blood clot treatment
A potentially game-changing treatment for people with, or at risk of, blood clots has been found effective by an international team of researchers led by McMaster University’s Jeffrey Weitz. Weitz’s team compared abelacimab with enoxaparin as a control drug in 412 patients undergoing knee replacement

New to the group - Rehab help advise please
This comment made me wonder if this damage was due to a pulmonary
embolism
I had suffered last year? Basically, I fell off my push bike a year ago and smashed my knee and face, to the point where the swelling in my knee caused a DVT in my lower leg, from where the clots then traveled to my lungs.

Apixaban
I’m 34 years old and was diagnosed with Pulmonary
Embolism
in February this year and I’ve been on Apixaban for 3 months. And stopped Apixaban for a month. Doctor told me I’m at risk of having another episode of PE and it will likely in my lungs again. Now, I’m back on Apixaban today.

Symbicort 400, Warfarin, Lung function test query
I was diagnosed with multiple bilateral pulmonary
embolism
last Nov. Feeling OK but not as energetic as I used to be. I undertook a lung function test a couple of months ago and got the results when I went to see specialist on Wednesday.

CT scan results
Hi all, I had a CTPA on 27th May and have just seen the results (or radiologists comments) - lung parenchyma generally of increased density, compatible with a semi-expiratory scan acquisition. Minor atelectasis in the lingula. No other significant lung leision or other pathology demonstrated. Normal
