After a pulmonary
embolism
5 years ago, I was diagnosed with thrombophilia. I am now taking Rivaroxaban 20mg. I live in Cyprus, where monitoring is minimal, so I can't refer to a specialist with any issues.

I’m going crazy
I come back with a possible small pulmonary
embolism
. I get blood thinners injected into my arm, and metoprolol for my heart palpitations that cannot stop for anything. I was also given ativan to see if my anxiety goes down.

Doctor wants to take away life support, but is there a chance for my relative to recover from her brain hemorrhage?
Things turned for the worse when she got pulmonary
embolism
and a build up of mucus in the lower part of the lung. The breathing temporarily got worse but later improved after these problems were addressed with medication and suction of mucus.

Swelling and cold to the touch
I found out today that the doctor I saw wrote in the record of attendance that I have an Arterial
embolism
/thrombosis in my foot and that I need to see a vascular surgeon urgently. I was not told about any of this and I have had no follow up appointment just to go back to my GP.

Post COVID jab DVT?
Hi, new to this. Question: anyone come across an occurrence of DVT after the first AZ COVID-19 jab. It happened to me about 10 days afterwards. Resulting in me being prescribed Rivaroxaban as the anticoagulant. Following my second jab about 10 weeks later I had problems with veins in my thigh. Ultrasound

Anyone Have Blood Clots Following Chemo?
I have just been diagnosed with nearly a foot-long blood clot in my right leg. An ultrasound indicates the clot's in a smaller vein near the surface of the skin, as opposed to a deep vein. But it is raising concern of my doctor as it's apparently close to a junction with a larger vein. It is extremely

Aortic Valve Replacement
November last year I had a pulmonary
embolism
affecting both lungs and my d diner reading was 4048, which is very high. They did the d dimer test again yesterday and it was 2000 and told me it can be raised after surgery. I still have some fluid on one lung after surgery also.

Pulmonary Hypertension
Has anyone else here been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension? I have had two Right-heart Catheterizations. The first showed pressure of 60 and the second one showed pressure of 74. So obviously the disease is progressing. I would just like to talk with someone one else who has it so we can commiserate

Rivaroxaban or Apixaban
The clinical pharmacist at my GP practice gave me a choice between Rivaroxaban or Apixaban. I chose Rivaroxaban simply because you only have to take it once a day and I can take it with my other tablets at breakfast. I should add I have acid reflux which is well controlled if I don't eat anything silly

Pulmonary function testing
Just curious, for those who have had pulmonary embolisms, did your pulmonologist send you for a pulmonary function test? I am going for one next month, and am not sure if he is testing for any complications with the PEs I had in December, or monitoring if my asthma is under control?
