Feel like my brain might actually be attempting to get back on the running band wagon 🧠

The last two weeks have been pretty successful in keeping up with the running 3 times a week. Hopefully I will have the motivation to continue. It’s defo a good start.

I’ve been telling myself all week, when I drop my car off for its MOT, just over 6km away, I will run back.

Well today was the day.

Annoyingly I woke up feeling not so well, with mid back/lung/muscle pain. It hurts to breathe deeply. I recently started a new medication and one of the side effects is pulmonary embolism. After having pain in one of my legs last night, it did cross my mind this morning. But perhaps a little dramatic of me 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyways, as I hadn’t got a lift planned, I got dressed, rummaged out my little camelbak thinking I should probably take water as I’m not feeling well.

I set off, it didn’t feel great, I couldn’t breathe deep enough and I kept needing to walk briefly before trying again. I needed to get home!

I pushed on and eventually got into a rhythm…

Bloody well made it! Literally could’ve rung out my clothes when I got back!!

So chuffed, especially as I’m not feeling 100%

You won't regret it! My "smug feeling " distance is 8 km which you will reach sooner than you think if you keep slowly increasing your Kms. It's that magical thought of being able to say casually "oh just popped out for a 5 mile run this morning " -well a plod anyway...

Goodluck!
