AFIB after pulmonary embolism
I had A fib as the presenting symptom of my PE. Now I have PAF. I get it every two to three months. Did anyone else’s a fib get caused by a PE? Might it go away?

Advice please.
I'm having lots of strange episodes in my heart and I come over feeling very unwell when it happens. 4 years ago I had a Pulmonary
Embolism
for no reason at all, they never did find a cause and i'm now wondering if the afib could have caused it?

New diagnosis and terrified! Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
Had a CT scan for an unrelated condition (ironically fine!) which picked up abnormality in lungs. High resolution CT confirms have idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. I’m generally well - some breathlessness on exertion which I put down to age (63) and being a bit overweight. To suddenly to told I have a

Lung Cancer for over 10 years and still going strong. It can take its toll on our nerves. I am only human after all.
They said it was caused by a air
embolism
which was brought on from having the needle biopsy. Since then I have heart flutters and there is nothing the doctors can do as I don't have a heart problem as I went for a second opinion privately.

Reduce 5 or less
Then pulmonary
embolism
. So I am on blood thinners and 20 mg of prednisone and Actemra. In order to get this Eye fixed that went bad once I upped the steroids I need to reduce to 10 mg of prednisone. I have been reducing from 40mg by staying on the 5 mg for 10 days. It’s worked well.

Is it only a flare or more?
I had bilateral pulmonary
embolism
after which only I was diagnosed of Lupus (SLE). Being Nepal, Lupus is still a very new illness and not many doctors are acquainted to the term yet. I was fortunate to have found a really good doctor and I am under his observation.

Is the Lovenox Anti Xa test the same as the Heparin Xa test?
Went to the lab yesterday 4 hours after I did my injection. They pulled up a bunch of Xa assays on the computer and showed me the screen. I selected the Heparin Assay, as I didn't see the Lovenox one. I had a stroke in February caused by a bleed. Instead of an INR, my hematologist ordered a Lovenox Anti
