change in IBS symptoms
Hi I am totally confused and a bit bewildered. So I have had IBS with terrible bouts of diarrhoea for over three years. During which time I definitely had trigger foods which made it a lot worse. Going on a gluten free diet seemed to help slightly as did a fructan free diet. Also low fodmap. But didn

pain upper right side
I started with a terrible pain in my upper right side into my back with a gnawing sensation to the upper right front about 4 weeks ago. Liver function tests were not normal but an ultrasound concluded no gallstones and liver, gallbladder, spleen all looked normal. Still in pain, which starts in the evening

INR/FIBRINOGEN
Can someone please tell me if anything else can affect INR or FIBRINOGEN levels, last year my INR was 1 on the ratio and is now 1.1 does this mean the liver is getting worse or can that figure change, it is literally just on the last part of normal now, also my FIBRINOGEN is almost double what it should

Hi all The title means Low Carbohydrate High Fat / Intermittent fasting. Both are ways of eating that can help people loose weight without the need to count calories or eat less and without the need to go hungry. Both ways of eating can also help to ease several health conditions. IF and LCHF work

Just look at this guy! 70 years old...
I wasn't convinced of the usefulness of micro workouts throughout the day, I always thought you needed to do it all in one go. Then I discovered this guy... 70 years old and looking GOOD!! Week 1 done
Well, this time last week I had no idea that I may have kidney disease, no symptoms, that I have slightly raised glucose, (how can that be when I don’t drink, avoid all sugars, eat very low carb??🤷♀️) bmi too high etc etc. Having got over the initial huge shock I have just completed week 1 and even

A DNA test, a book and a diet - my AFib Eureka moment !
First I wanted to say what a fantastic group this is and just how much it has supported, reassured and lifted me on my Afib journey, it’s been invaluable I’m a 61 year old woman with paroxysmal lone Afib, possibly SVT too. My story in brief is that I was diagnosed 3 years ago after my Fitbit showed

Is going gluten free worth it and achievable?
Hi, lots of times I see advice here to go gluten free. Be really interested to hear what people think. Is it’s really worth it and is it achievable? At the moment I’m far from gluten free. I love wholewheat pasta and sourdough. I tested negative for celiac disease but my genes were analyzed as part

Gluten free diet
I notice that a strictly gluten free diet is often recommended on this forum. What is the reason, and does it apply to both hyper and hypothyroidism?

Not recurred in almost 5 years
I got regular bursts of self-resolving Afib since the age of 19, ten minutes here and there. During this time I was chronically low carb dieting and overexercising. My longest episode was in 2019, at age 29, where I woke up in it. Went to A&E and it self resolved about 10 hours later. Had PACs/PVCs since
