The day all treatment ended and I was released to begin life without the benefit of seeing my radiation oncologist or the infusion nurse on a weekly basis was a scary day. The idea that it would be three months before I saw anyone again left me overwhelmed. Finding web boards like these and in person

Just saying hello as a new member
I was just recently diagnosed with MBC in January 2024 but no stranger to breast cancer as I had already had a tangle with (what I was assured was a very low risk) breast cancer back in 2014 and underwent surgery for a lumpectomy and a subsequent regimen of 6 1/2 weeks of m-f radiation. I thought all

The steroid with zytiga can be a deal
My Dads new oncologist switched his steroid from prednisolone to dexamethasone - she was distressed at first appointment to see he was on zytiga and prednisolone. She said research pretty clear that dexamethasone is better. On today's PSA results she is clearly correct. We thought that he had become

Looking for advice for my newly diagnosed dad
Hello, I was wondering if you can offer some thoughts on my dad’s situation. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February after a week in hospital with urine retention. A Ct scan he had in hospital showed 2 small mets in pelvic area. He’s had a biopsy which showed Gleason 4 +5 and his PSA in hospital

Have you tried this or have you assumed it won't work?
Probably my last post because I solved my RLS problem. It's gone, and no drugs. I've posted this as a c omment in response to several individual posts but get pretty much "how nice for you" responses and then they go on talking about drugs. So one last time. If you are unwilling to try this and instead

Probiotics
Hi lovely people, Do you recommend taking probiotics and if so which brands? Doing research it seems the best would be ones containing Lactobacillus gasseri, is that correct? I'm currently taking daily supplements of folic acid, vitamin D, iron and Co-enzyme Q10. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
