“We're working on a story about how an increasing number of cancer drugs are being approved at higher price points that later turn out not to improve survival of patients once the drugmakers complete pivotal studies.

We've gathered some examples of such medicines -- including the new KRAS drugs, some older targeted therapies, and the multiple myeloma treatment Ninlaro. Other treatments we are particularly interested in include cabozantinib, afinitor, and Trodelvy. We're hoping to speak to some patients who have first-hand experience with an expensive cancer treatment that turned out to be disappointing.
