I have had success taking Optibac- I started with the standard then moved onto the female version and now taking Optibac for pregnancy. All available on Amazon and started 3 months before egg collection/transfer.
I also did some reading into vaginal probiotics and probably bought the last available Canesflor before it went out of stock. I took this in the lead up to my transfer.
congratulations on your success ❤️ did you take optibac women right up until positive test? Throughout stims etc? I’ve started a third cycle today and have been taking that for a few months now x
I took the standard Optibac Everyday for 2 months then I switched to Optibac woman for a month which I believe included stims/egg collection. I continued taking it through to frozen transfer. I also then took the Canesflor 7 days prior to my transfer and stopped just a few days before. I don’t think I completed the full 10 in the pack. As soon as I got BFP I switcher to Optibac pregnancy.
Another vote for optibac here. Any supplement can take up to 3 months to properly get into your system so I’d start now. I also used vaginal probiotics a couple of times too.
Thank you and great to hear probiotics are worth investing in. What vaginal probiotics have you used.. there are so many, its hard to know what to get? And did you use these all the way through stims until egg collection/transfer?
I always got uncomfy before my period. I know maybe pregnancy hormones make a diff but I def feel the probiotics helped. I have just switched to the pregnancy version now.
Hello, I was using Optibac, and recently a nutritionist moved me onto Inessa wellness advanced biotic complex instead. It’s taken 2 weeks to adjust but good so far 👍🏻
Hi, my consultant recommended I take Bio Me Femme V tablets which I’ve been taking since January 2024 and then in the lead up to egg collection I used Bio Care pessaries. Good luck! X
I use to use Optibac but found another called Physician's Choice which I have found works better for me. I also take Symprove. Between them both it’s a great combination for me.
Hi! Would definitely recommend probiotics! In the run up to my successful transfer I took Biogaia oral probiotics (which I continued throughout the pregnancy) and Canesflor vaginal ones. I hear the latter have been discontinued. Floragyn on ebay are another good option. Very best of luck!
I use Triobiotics women’s intimate health from Holland &Barrett. They aren’t cheap but they always have the buy 1 get 1 free on them and they have been great for me so far.
Can I also say I was having lots of IBS/Gut type problems and generally felt quite inflamed but as soon as I started the probioticss things changed for the better. This was actually the reason for starting probiotics then I read they also help with fertility.
Lactobacillus crispatus and gasseri are good for vaginal issues. It depends what you are using them for. Oral probiotics are not good by themself for bad vaginal issues. Vaginal probiotics are best. Vagibiom is good and lacto vaginal is good with balance activ gel. It’s important to take vaginal probiotics with something like balance activ gel to help the probiotic work properly. If vaginal ph is not as acidic, vaginal probiotics will not work as well.
