Hi all , just had my review with the EP . Quite short and sweet , I had sent him the latest EKG from my 6 lead Kardia mobile taken yesterday as requested and he seemed happy. I asked , as I’d not had the chance to before leaving hospital, what he’d found during the procedure.
Apparently after my first cryo ablation in 2019 two of my pulmonary veins had reconnected and after being redone this time he was confident of success . He had then put me into AF and found various rogue cells on the floor of the left atrium which were ablated .
I mentioned a bout of ectopics a few weeks ago which he said was common and as they had not developed into AF that was a good sign of continued improvement.
So my next review is in 9 months which hopefully is as positive and I can look forward to a better QOL and AF free for as long as possible with no guarantees of course .

Pretty identical to the call I got from my EP yesterday morning. I told him it sometimes feels like my heart wants to go back into AF but it doesn’t, he said it is a positive sign but if I want to go back on the flecanaide then that’s fine, I said I didn’t really want to go back on the meds because that was the reason for my ablation, he changed the subject and curtly ended the call, my list of questions still in my hand. I waited 5 months for a 4 minute call. Anyways good luck to us both long may we continue without AF.
I'm 7 months in and still waiting. Its at last booked for 5th Dec.How annoying you still had your list of questions this has happened to me to.The joys of no face to face.
Exactly that Ethel, I felt I was easy enough to fob off on the phone I would never have allowed him to do that face to face. Not even sure if I should continue with meds, he flippantly remarked it’s up to me .
Yes and good luck to you too . I doubt they get much time to make these calls sadly , I thankfully got the answers to my questions but I’m sure experiences are different
