STATUS UPDATE
It has been a couple months now off prednisone per doctors recommendations. As a reminder, the Rheumy believed I did not have PMR despite the elevation of inflammation markers and the success of prednisone because I am 49yo. Since I have been off I have been in pain daily in shoulder, pelvis, hands

Again more dizziness and nausea
I wrote about 4 months ago about bouts of diziness and nausea. It was happening again this weekend, and got really bad - with lots of chest pain to go with it. I took the advice of people on this forum, and went to A&E to get checked out. They gave me an ECG and blood tests, and said no significant

Pericarditis; anxious and overwhelmed
Hello! I would like some advice and support/reassurance about my current situation. I had pericarditis a year and a half ago following C word, which resolved completely. I was fully well and due to be discharged by the cardiologist in my next appointment(next week). 4weeks ago, I took the V word and

High Blood Pressure and prescribed medication
I was asked to monitor my blood pressure twice a day for 7 days and forward results to my GP Surgery. Unfortunately none of my readings were normal. I have now been contacted to arrange an ECG and Blood Test. I was told that a prescription would be available from my pharmacy, I said that I couldn’t take

So now I'm a bit scared.
I posted about deciding to do an ablation consult the other day, I have that scheduled for Dec 30th. Well that evening the 23rd I had a new arrhythmia show up. I sent it to Kardia clinician review, and they said it was ventricular tachycardia. The sort of rhythm that when sustained can lead to ventricular

disappointed
we’ll what a let down after all the stress of this week and being told to expect an urgent call from the doctor this morning, a doctor rang and asked me what was wrong. Apparently he was a locum and knew nothing about what had occurred, I could not understand his Accent and kept losing phone signal

Is it AF or just ectopics
Around 6 weeks a g o my BP monitor showed erratic heart rate for 5 days, every time I took it. Pulse was the usual 80s, BP was around 124/72 but when I felt my pulse it was constantly very erratic; missing about every 3rd beat. I went to Urgent care who did a 30 second ECG and said it w as atrial

Flecainide update
Apologies if you're reading this twice but I follow this and arrythmia alliance pages. Just a follow up for those who were interested in flecainide. I initially tried this as a PIP for ectopics that although not considered a significant 'burden', had an awful impact on my life. The PIP approach was

Flecainide trial and update
Just a follow up for those who were interested in flecainide. I initially tried this as a PIP for ectopics that although not considered a significant 'burden', had an awful impact on my life. The PIP approach was very effective for me and so decided to go for the 'dailly' route. I had an ECG on day

New shooting pain in left breast
So today I have another strange new symptom - quick shooting pain from my left side across/through my left breast. Its happened 3 times today and each time its been about 6 quick pains then went away, all times I have been relaxed and at rest. I have done an ECG on my Apple Watch, checked my heart

ectopic heart beats
I am 3 years post op of a replacement aortic arch and mechanical heart valve. Since Sunday I have been experiencing continuous ectopic heart beats. I have been to A and E and they reviewed my recent CT scan and did an ECG they picked up one ectopic beat (ECG is 10 seconds) I was told it was fine and

Recent Diagnosis - Any advice on how to take it all in
This is my first time post as I have only joined this morning. After 3-4 weeks of tests I have been diagnosed with a Bicuspid Aortic Valve, which has caused a severely dilated Ascending Aorta. These are all new terms to me and me and my wife are sort of in a bit of shock at the moment. All the info is

Re apple watch Afib warning.
Just a quick update on my apple watch warnings and Kardia mobile warnings post recently. I went to my GP who took an ecg and sent me to A&E with a referral letter. On triage they read the letter and the cardiac nurse looked at the ECG and said I can not see Afib at all but 1St degree heart block is jumping

Worried. what is wrong with me ?
I gave up smoking about 4 months ago. I had been on nicotine gum. But was noticing a lot of palpitations. They seemed to be getting worse. And every day I’ve been getting them. I went Drs and she arranged ECG. And in Dec a 24 hr ecg thing. I deliberately stopped nicotine gum one day ago. All I’m taking

Hi, I'm new. I apologise, this is long and may be upsetting x
Hi everyone! I started my weight loss journey (properly, not just fads, if that makes sense x) in 2019. My then bf had proposed and I hated looking in the mirror because I was 19.4st. I have blogs of my own for my journeys so i won't go into too much detail here lol, but long story short, I struggled

Living Nightmare! (At least I'm living!)
Just over a month ago I had a MI. The Heart Attack came on very suddenly, all the classic symptoms, band around chest, numb left arm, pain in my jaw. I was sitting down drinking a cup of tea at the time, so, finished my brew, popped aspirin and drove myself to hospital. - Why didn't I call 999? A week
