Long awaited results!!!
Followers of my posts will recall that I was requesting a view last October, which I finally had, and also an
echocardiogram
in September. At last I have got results of both........ The echo was described as "generally favourable", the mitral valve leak "mild to moderate",....

BP is high upon wakening
Recent
Echocardiogram
was good except for " mild diastolic dysfunction is present (impaired relaxation pattern)" Maybe is why doc is sending me for a stress test.

Just had an ablation for Atrial Flutter
He has booked for me to have an
echocardiogram
next month .Is it normal for this to happen, and would it be likely that my heart would have suffered some structural damage as a result of the numerous episodes of afib and to episodes of atria flutter.

Aortic valve regurgitation
She recommended an
echocardiogram
that was normal and mild aortic insufficiency. She said this is a minor finding that is not causing any problems and they will monitor it over the years to make sure it doesn't get worse. She recommends next
echocardiogram
in three years.

Well balanced thyroid until surgery in August
After many years of fighting I finally got my thyroid optimised ( the relief after years and years of illness was amazing!). After lots of up and down doses I stabilised for 3 years on 250mg of levothyroxine and 3 x a day 30mg of liothyronine (T3). Then I had surgery on my tongue in the summer and

Echocardiogram
was normal with mild aortic valve regurgitation that doctor said was minor finding and not causing any problems. They will monitor it over the years.

Called in suddenly to discuss 24h ECG results ASAP. Appt tomorrow Fri 11am. No idea how to prep, what questions to ask. Any ideas please?
Schilling on YouTube saying that ectopics (including ventricular ones), even if you have lots of them, are nothing to worry about in someone with a normal
echocardiogram
. So I don't let it bother me).

"Eye Popping" Atrial Fibrillation
Take a look at his
echocardiogram
: Don’t ever forget this... Know the ejection fraction in atrial fibrillation BEFORE you give AV blocking drugs, especially if there is any clinical heart failure!

Stress Echocardiogram
I am going to have a stress
echocardiogram
, where the heart rate is speeded up using Dobutamine, to simulate exercise and pictures taken of the heart at work. Thank goodness I haven't got to pedal a cycle!! I'd be interested if anyone else has been through this.

Well done, LupusUK Forum!
My respirorologist, rheumy and GP have all been baffled, even after 1000s of bloods, ECGs,
echocardiogram
, CT scans and two emergency admissions to hospital. The conclusion was that it was an unusual reaction to mycophenolate, and i should stop taking it and wait. So I was stopped, and waited.

Suspected Heart Attack or not
After 2 ECG that's showed a problem along with an Echo showing Hypokinetic inferior wall my cardiologist was almost certain I had blocked arteries so I had a
echocardiogram
, I had no blocked arteries so an MRI was ordered along with a CTPA. Monday I was taken into hospital with severe chest pain.

HEART PROBLEM OR ANXIETY?
Would they dismiss me when they find my heartbeats normal or would the NHS advise an
echocardiogram
if I still have the dizziness? I have thought of getting an
echocardiogram
done privately just to speed things up.

Pulmonary regurgitation
I had my annual
echocardiogram
last month and this morning received a letter from the Rheumatologist, saying that it shows "mild regurgitation in the mitral heart valve and mild pulmonary regurgitation". ...and that's all it says. Nothing about what to do about it.

Dobutamine stress echocardiogram
Hi. I am due for this procedure on Tuesday 27thOct. I am scared because Dobutamine will make my heart beat faster and my pacemaker is set 130bpm highest. No Bisoprolol for 48 hours before test. I would appreciate info from anyone who knows/has had this procedure. Thanks

Palpitations or afib after every swallow
All the usual tests (
echocardiogram
, EKG, thyroid etc) all showed a normal heart. After several years of battling this I discovered I had acid reflux. They treated me with PPI medication and it seemed to eventually work. The past 15 years I was free of this nightmare.
