Aortic regurgitation
A recent
echocardiogram
shows I have mild aortic regurgitation. I have a slow heart rate and shortness of breath and my heart is slightly enlarged. Will I need any treatment?

Amiodarone
(A previous
Echocardiogram
gave an indication of this but he wants to do an MRI while I am in NSR to get a better picture). I’ve been on bisoprolol since being diagnosed in August 17. My question and concern is the side effects of Amiodarone which I have read about.

Sudden Swelling of Legs and Feet
Has anyone else experienced sudden swelling of their feet and legs? All of a sudden out of the blue it started happening. Was referred to a cardiologist and had an echo cardiogram where everything came out as expected. I initially declined any meds after a bad experience with a neurologist who was prescribing

OHS vs TAVI
My cardiologist has decided that my aortic stenosis needs to be operated on, I have had all tests - carotid artery,
echocardiogram
, angiogram, etc - and have passed! My appointment is with a surgeon in 2 weeks at Glasgow Jubilee Hospital.

Post-ablation progress
Analysis of a recent 7-day holter recording shows that my ectopic rate is now down at 1.7%, so I saw my cardiologist yesterday for an
echocardiogram
. He gave me that good news that my ejection fraction was now 47% (up from 25%), which seems to give evidence to support the original theory.

Palpitations
I’ve had normal
echocardiogram
& ekgs but something as simple as washing dishes gives me palpitations. Could this just be anxiety and stress or something more serious. No chest pain or arm pain just fluttering and what feels like pauses in my heartbeat. Any advice helps.

Telephone call from the cardiologist.
So I guess they had the medical meeting to discuss the results from my
Echocardiogram
. He explained that all the other tests showed blood flowing ok.

Mitral Valve Problem
Two years ago I was diagnosed with " prolapse of the posterior leaflet with a moderate jet of mitral regurgitation" Prior to a shoulder operation recently I was given another
echocardiogram
as the doctor was concerned when he listened through his stethoscope.

Just diagnosed
My asthma Consultant referred me for an
echocardiogram
and I’ve been diagnosed as follows “Globally mildly impaired left valve systolic function ” mildly being the best word! I got the diagnosis the day I was leaving UK for 5 weeks so haven’t had the opportunity to discuss with GP even.

Out of breath while walking
I have been checked a year ago by a cardiologist, who did resting and stress ECG, along with
echocardiogram
. I was told my pulse went to 186 bpm and it is too high for the activity level. Otherwise, all was okay.

Not to be morbid but....
I just wrote to the cardiologist's office as to whether, given my cancer diagnosis, it would be better to get an
echocardiogram
after reading that the isotope used carries a risk - though very minor - of cancer.

Upper back pain after transoesophageal echocardiogram and AF ablation
I also had a transoesophageal
echocardiogram
whilst under general anaesthetic. Initially I had a tender throat which has now resolved. The problem I have now is pain in my upper back which feels almost like I've swallowed some dry food which I haven't chewed properly.
