i had both a angiogram and echocardiogram done around 3 years ago, one showed some slight narrowing of left arteries along with fatty tissue in aorta.
fast forward to now over the last months i have been having what seems yet again to be heart problems, my doctors did an ecg which i think showed something and then went through another echocardiogram.
when i first went for a echo 3 years ago it was fairly thorough but this time after only 5 minutes the test ended, i did query it but didn't think much to it after leaving.
i have since found out that they only did a limited echocardiogram and yet 3 years ago it was a full one.
my worry is that this time and with it done in just over 5 minutes that things may not show or may of been missed.
i was given a leaflet which clearly stated that the test should take around 15 to 40 minutes so how can they detect anything in 5 minutes is beyond me.
just wondering if anyone else has been through the echocardiogram and how long did it take.
another person here also had the same problem with the 5 minutes scan and the cardiologist wasn't happy as it didn't give enough information so they went for a ct scan, he was under the cardiologist but i am not which is why i am now worried about the length of the scan and what may of been missed.
any input would be welcome on this.
when i do get any results i will be back with an update.
