Thrush but not a bird
I have been given the wrong dose of my inhaler for Asthma. Now have to use two puffs instead of one to obtain the same amount. Will this increase my sore throat and oral thrush burden ? It is something I struggle with. Nothing to be done until Monday. Any advice would be welcome.

Constant lower Back/Left Bum cheek pain
Hi All,I have adenomyosis and I have been having constant and chronic lower back pain and pain on my left bum cheek for 9 months. Does anyone else with adenomyosis have this problem? I've had a laparoscopy and endo wasn't found but I wouldn't be surprised if I have it too. It's tormenting me and hugely

first time covid - symptoms expectation
Hello fellow RA warriors, I have been very careful since the start of the covid era - very limited outings/socializing, always mask up when out, no more gym exercise classes. I decided to enjoy the holiday a little bit more this year - dined out with a few family members in a crowded and popular restaurant

Aching calf muscles
Hello again everyone. I have had Maderna jab, then the flu, cough etc, but not covid. All other ailments, except cough had subsided...but now aching calf muscles in both legs. Back from GP appt, but not very reassuring, as it was a student locum, in hospital scrubs, who almost took longer reading up

Covid testing
Does anybody know if home carers are still expected to do Covid tests? I have a new carer and when she came today she was coughing a lot. I asked her when she had last tested and she said she hasn’t tested since January of this year.

I had a flare up at the end of Jan which I didn’t recognise as a typical flare up. Did NOT start as a typical cold/sore throat & turn to chest infection as normal (so I’m still not entirely sure what it was, although doc said bloods suggested viral/bacterial). Everything became very tight / dry in my

Disability Allowance - Any Advice Please
Hi everybody. At a recent trip to hospital for my usual check ups a question was posed by one of the medical staff. “Are you getting Disability Allowance”? No I answered! “Well you should have a look at that” they replied “especially if you have had to stop work” So that got me thinking. I am 62, I

Cough After Eating
This is the most recent episode of my mum’s PSP, she barely chokes, now we are dealing with after a meal cough, she coughs few mins after having her meals(different meals). I got her a cough syrup that helps after a while. Has this happened to anyone or experienced this, any solution? Her next appointment

Questions about experience with rinvoq
Have had to stop rinvoq a few times lately due to infections, this last time I stopped rinvoq for ear infection for 5 days. The infection has not cleared up so they're giving me another antibiotic for 10 days. I was just wondering if most people have a flare when stopping rinvoq for that length of

Covid and AF
Apologies if I posted this earlier. Despite countless jabs against covid (I am 79 ) and escaping the virus the past three and a half years I succumbed to the latest variant last Sunday 10th Dec. At first I thought it was just a heavy cold with a cough. Also I was thinking that I was more susceptible

COVID
Doea anyone have any advice. I had my ablation in September and a nurse told me not to have a flu jab or covid booster. I am now stuck at home with Covid. I am a little worried about it triggering AFib.

High Peak Flow but Wheezing and Phlegm x 4+ Months and Intense Fatigue
High Peak Flow but Wheezing and Phlegm x 4+ Months and Intense Fatigue I usually only get asthma as a secondary condition - with hayfever or a chest cold, etc. Since the first week of January, I've had constant fluid on the lungs - now a yellowy brown, which I cough up - but wouldn't say I have a

Phone-call from receptionist today
Only just joined and not sure where to begin as I feel as if I’m in shock a little and desperately trying to find out information. I had a phone call from the drs receptionist this afternoon to tell me I have hypothyroidism after some blood tests and needed to pick up a prescription which I would need

covid meds and prednisolne
Evening all I have PMR and currently tapering Pred down, I am on 3 mg per day. However yesterday I tested positive for Covid. Two questions 1. do I need to inform my GP as my immune system is compromised the NHS site is not clear. 2. What meds does anyone suggest for the hacking cough, runny nose

A little, very quiet, thumbs up 👍
Well, I've been keeping quiet about returning (again!) to C25K but I have just managed Week 4, Run 3 without any problems so I am HOPING I can finally get back on the trotting pony regularly now. After literally a whole year of Covid, colds, sinus and chest infections, PVF/Long Covid, post-Covid cough
