Bands pulmonary fibrosis tomography

hello my story in short in 2022 I had covid 19 after recovery I did a lung X-ray which did not show anything suspicious now in September 2023 a year after covid19 I started having breathing difficulties I couldn't breathe deeply and I was falling into bed we can't I'm going to the end of the cascading, I performed another lung x-ray and linear opacities appeared, the diagnosis was interstitial lung disease, post-covid 19 sequelae, I was not given any treatment, now I started having breathing difficulties again, the pulse oximeter shows spo2 97-98%, it doesn't matter if I make an effort or sit, I have difficulties. I also performed a computer tomogram, which showed increased bands of pulmonary fibrosis. I also performed a spirometry test, which showed medium restriction. Give me an airflusal/forspiro inhaler, but it doesn't help me to walk. I walk 6-8 km per day. day without particular problems, I took the 6-minute test and walked somewhere 550-580 meters, I don't know where to take it, I also fell into a depression that I can't get out of, if there is anyone else with the same symptoms after 1 year after covid and with pulmonary fibrosis post covid19.

I had COVID but hard to know if that has any long term affects, I don't thing so. I Have fibrosis /COPD and of late more short of breath than for a while, not sure whether chest or heart, off to GP Tuesday to see what she say - I am 99% with me COVID has had no lating affect - You need to see someone as PatK1 suggests,

I was admitted to a pulmonology hospital, on the medical letter it says post-covid injuries, on the x-ray there were linear opacities and on the computer tomography there were bands of fibrosis, the only thing that bothers me is that I feel like taking a deep breath and I can't sometimes I can breathe I don't cough my pulse oximeter shows constant 97-98%

There is so much the medical profession don't know about post COVID difficulties and the knock on effects. However your oximeter readings are very good which is positive. Interstitial lung disease is a coverall term which doctors use for lung conditions ranging from COPD and bronchiectasis, bronchitis, sarcoidosis and pulmonary fibrosis. Fibrosis is another word for scarring which can occur after, for example, pneumonia or other conditions like sarcoidosis and I assume probably COVID as it attacks the lungs. It could be that you have long COVID. You really need a proper conversation with your Doctor about treatment possibilities and the long term effects of the fibrosis.

Petre84 any progress? I experience exactly what you are describing. However I am only 12 weeks after covid infection and struggled severly with breathing issues (and 15 other post acute covid symtoms). I did a CT scan first week of infection which showed only mild lung changes but doctors are still referring to that scan 12 weeks agi and I am trying to tell them things changed since then.

My husband has been diagnosed with ILD. He is on oxygen support. Doctors have advised it is enough to maintain saturation level at 88 to 92 for him. They have slso advised rigorous physio therapy. The key to maintain quality of life is to work out as much as possible
