The good, the bad and the ugly!
Good evening folks. I have not posted anything for a while. You may recall that I posted my journey with the neuromod device. (It knock me for six, caused nausea and put me back into depression!!) I still have to take medication for nausea as a result. Here's a thought. " Hearing loss and Tinnitus

Vertigo
I have been taking Betahistine and I thought it was going great until yesterday. I had my first vertigo attack, my eye went funny and I was dizzy could walk and I was sick several times! And I wasn’t even at home! I thought betahistine prevented the vertigo to very light attacks? Any advise is welcome

Problems with Digoxin
Hi everyone. I have persistent AF, awaiting a cardioversion, and have been prescribed Digoxin as well as 10mg Bisoprolol. The meds are working in as much as my heart rate has slowed down but I feel dreadful on the medication. I appreciate the Bisoprolol makes me very flat and tired most of the time

2ww 10dp5dfet
Hi. I'm currently on my 2ww 10dp5dfet with 4AA grade Embryo. I started having cramping after the procedure for day 2 and 3 and little cramping everyday and then no cramping. I experienced some sensitive boobs but that has gone away. I'm experiencing alot of wet vaginal discharge that appears white/grayish

Ashermans, thin lining, low ovarian reserve, poor responder.. trying ivf one last time with donor sperm for possible surrogacy if lucky
After many years of having a Mirena coil for heavy periods, my then partner and I decided to start to try for a baby. I thought it was strange that when I had the coil out my periods remained just as light as when I had it in. I decided to do some hormone tests, and discovered I had a high prolactin

Travelling with Tinnitus and blocked ear
Hi everyone, I had what I thought was an ear infection and then developed tinnitus. Prescribed antibiotics and then otomize spray but nothing has worked. Right ear painful so I can't lie down on that side, and constant tinnitus. The nurse practitioners I saw told me they could not see the ear drum,

Hi all back from what felt like a nightmare and feeling much better. I can officially say that I tested negative on my PCR for covid and my primary thinks it may have been a flare and I think it may have been in response to a cold or flu. Rheumy prescribed a higher dose aleve to take more long term

Has anyone found acupuncture helps with the aches and pains of PMR?
I’m booked in for an acupuncture session on Friday as I am so sick of the aches in my sit bones. I’m still on Pred and tapering …at 9.5 atm but the whole time I’ve been on Pred I’ve had a sore bum…well just under it actually basically at the top of my legs. It feels like someone has hit me, like I

My experience of T
Hi everyone, my T started following a long phone call (house phone) with a friend in January this year. It was so frightening I nearly wanted to end it all. The next day, I called the GP who didn't do anything except say 'get on with it' basically. I came across the BTA and one person who I spoke to

ENT Specialist Manchester
Hi I've suffered with tinnitus for the past two years. Not sure if it's linked to my TMJ jaw issues or bruxism ( grinding my teeth at night) but I have confirmed hearing loss also. Just wondering if anyone on here can recommend a ENT specialist / consultant in the Manchester area? Thanks in advance

Questions for Audiology & ENT
Hi All, I was lucky enough to have an audiology appointment last week for my hearing aid. As I have had T and hearing loss for some time I have had a few audiology appointments so I am posting some of the questions I prepared beforehand in case they are of any use to others who have their 1st appointment

3rd IVF Failure. Age 41. Worth going abroad for another try?
Hello ladies, I haven't posted in a while but I've just received news of a BFN today — this is my 3rd BFN with IVF. For this last round, they collected 19 eggs, and transferred 3 day 3 embryos. They weren't top quality. My AMH and FSH are, I'm told, ok for my age. I've always been able to have an ok

Sodium Butyrate: Conflicting Studies
So I read one study from 2021 that said Sodium Butyrate was good for PD, lowered inflammation, and improved symptoms and then read another from 2020 that said Sodium Butyrate increases inflammation and makes PD symptoms worse. I have e-mailed both teams for an explanation. I put the abstracts side by
