Low dose naltrexone
I've been reading about this. It says it treats cancers so can it be used if diagnosed with ET. Consultant told me ET is a mild form of blood cancer

It's Like Falling Down A Rabbit-Hole...
There was I poodling along...not a bother on me...when I began to wonder whether or not this was too good to be true. I'd reached the 1200's you see in someone's tree and was getting quite blasé...plenty of records to check the facts...the dates were slightly iffy but then dates often are... And it was

Is depression after TBI inevitable?UPDATE
Following my post a month ago re my son's depression following his severe brain injury in November 2013, I thought I'd report some progress... He had definitely lost his mojo - and his sense of humour and motivation - when I last posted and it was sad that he just couldn't see the progress he was making

Not as much of a shock...
I knew something was wrong quite a long time ago; I was so clumsy, bad at sport, had no sense of balance and so on when I was a child. However, it was only when I was 36 (I am now 50) that things started to go noticeably worse. I managed to hide my problems quite well, even with my ex-wife to some degree

How to cope with accidents when immune suppressed by steroids?
Hi Folks, Sorry this will be a mini essay!!! I cut my finger badly last week, stabbed while taking the plastic film off a cucumber. Anyway just after it I was very unwell from what seemed like a mini adrenal crisis. I went upstairs to get my shoes on to go to A&E as the wound was very deep, and suddenly

Memory still an unresolved issue
I have an acquired BI. Having had epilepsy all my life, finally diagnosed in late 90s with Complex Partial Seizures, it could not be controlled by meds. Therefore, in 2003 I underwent an Amygdalohippocampectomy which has helped in so far that this with meds now helps control my epilepsy, though still

LDN, collagen, and other alternatives
I'm now 9 months into polymyalgic-onset, late-onset RA. Our first working dx was PMR, and since I can't take prednisone, I began researching alternatives. I found a journal article about low dose naltrexone, "The use of low-dose naltrexone (LDN) as a novel anti-inflammatory treatment for chronic pain

Hi ..I have been taking premique low dose for six months but still get quite a lot of breakthrough bleeding which is annoying.. Does anybody else's suffer from this? ... However it has helped relieve the symptoms of night flushes.

A fine how do you do... :(
After going for years of ibs with diarrhea... it seems as if my body said: "Ok, let's now switch to constipation" ... I actually feel WORSE with the constipation... Glycerine suppositories do nothing... not even an enema will 'get it all'.... Guess I'll start taking a half of a Cascara Sagrada capsule

Think doc is wrong
Been through the wringer with testing since April 2015. Stomach issues started while training for last half marathon in 2012. I used to be able to strap my shoes on and get of to run for an hour or more most days of the week. Suddenly I was very uncomfortable with gas and urgency during training but

Damage to ureters anyone? 4 days post op.
Hi. I'm now 4 days post op. Doc told me he used a lot of heat around my ureters to free them from dense adhesions. He mentioned a possible complication of ureteral necrosis which he said can rarely occur "several days or more" after surgery. My question is anyone here have damage to their ureters/bladder
