Good CA125 result - am now on celecoxib, another anti-inflammatory drug.
Just heard yesterday that my CA125 was 6. Very pleased, to say the least. As you will see from my updated profile, I have had my ups and downs in the last 4 months. Had stupidly added in aspirin 75mg daily after Christmas, to my ibuprofen and omeprazole regime, and developed an inflamed stomach

Methotrexate and Naproxen together
Since starting MTX about 8 weeks ago I've avoided taking any NSAIDs (Naproxen) at the same time ie I don't swallow MTX and Naproxen simultaneously. As a result I tend to go for about 24 hours between Naproxen doses once a week. I do this because I don't want to hit my liver/kidneys with Naproxen and

Advice for severe asthma and 1st consultant appt?
Hi, I'm new to the forum but have had asthma for about 10 years as an adult. I have been very ill for the past 3 years with lyme disease and another infection called Bartonella, after an insect bite in Southern England. I have always been able to manage my asthma with becotide inhalers at 100mcg - 200mcg

Ticked off!
Two months after Tick Bite Prevention Week (and finally with the arrival of summer weather) I got the first tick of the season on my long run on Tuesday. :-( I found the wee blighter in the skin on my belly, so must have picked it up during one of my pit stops during the run. I found it when back

WG and shingles
I have WG and this week developed a nasty attack of shingles - OUCH! Never knew it could be sooooooo painful! I read that shingles can be more serious and prolonged in patients on mycophenolate. My GP assures me this is not the case. Have any of you had this while on immu-suppressants?

Four years ago (almost exactly) I had just returned from Derriford Hospital in Plymouth having had an operation for cancer. I have Scarlet Fever!
I have been ill all week with the worst sore throat I have ever had. It was very swollen and all the glands in my neck were enlarged and tender; some still are. I didn't realise how many glands we have in our necks until I got this illness. On Thursday I went to the doctors as I had developed a hot

Scarlet Fever and Lupus?
Hi all, my son (14) has an outbreak of scarlet fever at his school, including a number of children in his class. It is highly contagious. I am on MTX and Plaquinil. Should I be concerned?

Advice please on how to take Mebeverine and stronger antispasmodic tablets?
Hello, I had used Buscopan and got used to too much and tried Mebeverine but I am not satisfied with it very much. I can only take one tablet 3 times a day of Mebeverine. I still have to take strong NSAIDs tablets in the between and waking up in pain in the middle of night. This is about the same

Measles - is there a non live vaccine option?
The title sums up the question. I have not had measles nor the vaccine during my life so are there any options, other than avoidance, at this stage? Thanks, Mike

New here, questions about aches and pains
I'll make the background information short: I am a 30-something woman who started having leg pains in 2011. I was given NSAIDS and blown off by the doctor, until I had a mini stroke later that year. Even then, I was treated horribly by arrogant neurologists (my least favorite type of doctor) who insisted
