Just throwing this out there in case anyone is looking for a link between Aspirin and Thyroxine
They concluded that, “These data confirm that aspirin, salsalate, and meclofenamate affect total and free thyroid hormone measurements and identify three NSAIDs that did not change thyroid tests. TSH remained within the normal range during acute or 1-wk administration of all of the NSAIDs.
Thanks for this. I need to read this carefully in the morning as I have been diagnosed with salycylate sensitivity and this is what aspirin is made of. I've had to reduce my intake of foods with salycylates in them. The list is an interesting mix of what I thought was healthy and the not so healthy e.g. All fruit including tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, tea, coffee, wine & cider!!!
Its a good thing i cant use aspirin then it already sets of my asthma. I wonder how many of us take it without knowing the effects. Saying that i suppose you have to weigh the pros and cons if you use it as preventative medicine
