U scope, Lasar, Basket, Stent, RGP's and possible bx Outpatient surgery 90 minutes
Hello fairly new here, this is the name of the outpatient surgery they want to do. I have read that the kidney stent can be real painful. Does anyone know what all this means? What is RGP's? Is bx an abbreviation for biopsy? I'm not diabetic. I am a female with 22 BMI, so not obese, do not have high

Frustrated pericarditis versus inflammation of esophagus
I was diagnosed with pericarditis on April 11th . It started out as palpitations and then progressed to sternal chest tightness . On my first cardiologist visit my ekg showed st elevation and I also had a high sensitivity of crp 9.2. I wasn’t told to rest so I continued my 12 hour shift job ( 3 days

CKD caused by overuse of NSAIDS, GFR low again
I am a 46 yr old female and was in perfect health for years. I had no idea that I was over-using NSAIDS, I was in a car accident in 2007, and topped with female issues I was taking too much ibuprofen. Routine blood work caught my GFR of 42 years ago, elevated creatine, etc and I saw a nephrologist. He

Cellulitis
I know cellulitis is a bacteria and that this bacteria enters the body via cuts etc to the skin. However I seem to get it without any cuts, dry skin, bruising etc. Anyone else feel this? Anyone know what else to avoid? Or am I fooling myself?

Did I have Encephalitis?
I was in hospital for 3 months last year with a brain infection they described as "an encephalitic illness". I'm still getting letters from the hospital saying "it wasn't this, that or the other thing we've tested for". I'm so confused. I guess I didn't have Encephalitis, just brain swelling, but it

Cancer dormancy and the role of NSAIDs
Inspired by an earlier post by Nalakrats. I came across an article discussing cancer cells and how they go through active and dormant phases. It's a quick and easy read but can shed some light for this disease. In addition, within the article is a link to some new information that has been coming

Hello...I'm a newbie here. Seeking Tinnitus help.
Hello all. I found your site after doing a search for Tinnitus on the NRAS page for Rheumatoid Arthritis/Rheumatoid Disease. I have had Tinnitus since December 2017/January 2018. I am seeing an ENT, but have only had one appointment so far. I am scheduled for a hearing test at my next appointment.

Pain Poll Results
Hi folks. Thank you for your great responses. It's horrid to see that many are suffering pain on top of everything else. It must be distressing for both cared for and the carers.
Please keep replying to it if you haven't yet done so - I am still gathering info.

Is your thyroid problem related to Lyme Disease or another chronic, undiagnosed infection?
Since 2013 when I first began posting information about chronic infections and their connections with thyroid function I have been inundated, but not suprised, by the number of enquiries for information that I have received. In the last year these have increased markedly. I am deeply saddened by

Sick of pills...good alternatives?
Hi guys I’ve got to the point where I’m just sick of all this medication - on good days it’ll make a dent in the pain and on bad days it makes me nauseous to the point where I’ll vomit. My body just feels tired! Regardless of what I take I suffer with low level burning all around my vagina and lower
