Sinamet less effective if stressed?
Good day, About a month ago I got to a really good place with my meds. No tremor, gait was almost fixed. Glial cell line-Derived Neurotropic Factor (GDNF) a disease-modifying therapy
Over the past two decades, biotech companies and clinicians have tried to develop a cure for Parkinson’s disease based on Glial cell line-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (GDNF), a naturally occurring factor promoting the growth of dopamine neurons. Some clinical results were stunning, with patients experiencing

Have You Tried a Dopamine Agonist?
HI all. I suffered from RLS before doctors were even familiar with the term. I had heard about restless legs syndrome on TV and wanted to try the new drug (Requip) they were advertising to help people suffering with the symptoms mentioned. I found a Dr. who had heard of it and prescribed it for me

New Gene Therapy Trial about to start which holds promise for PD
A new treatment called OXB-102 may be what we have been looking for. The trial starts this year and a previous trial of their first generation gene therapy material called Prosavin served to replace lost dopamine. This new one may possibly offer our best chance for a cure. http://www.oxfordbiomedica.co.uk

Thanks
Well thanks to all you lot that helped me with my thyroid issues, I took on your advice and managed to separate the wheat and chaff. My thyroid issue is not now taking over every second of my life. I think I may have found my cure for my individual thyroid issues and hope that you find yours. I would

Things that help me.
I take a low dose of Tramadol, but I still get rls during the night quite often. The things I do which help me are as follows: I take a high potency vitamin B Complex, (I use extra high potency "100" by Solgar, but I'm sure there are others) I take it about an hour before bed every night. It definitely

Depression is gone.
One thing that has happened to me since I started Sinemet is that my depression has left. Most all the time I'm actually happy. I'm very grateful for this. It's such a wonderful feeling after being so depressed for so very long. My GP says it's because no matter how much serotonin you have it can not

Anti depressents and thyroid symptoms
Hi Me again, sorry! last visit my GP was concerned I was a bit tearful, I explained I was pretty fed up of feeling ill and not finding any relief or improvement, I think from her approach she felt that some of my symptoms could be related to depression and having been depressed before and finding relief
