Rls gone at present
Hi everyone.. I'd just like to share my latest experience with rls. I've had it on and off for several years now,but recently it was for longer durations. I don't take any prescriptions for it , preferring herbs and alternative treatments. Fingers crossed.as I write...it's gone (hopefully for good).

Haloperidol Withdrawal after Fifty Years
Hi. I am 71 years old. When I was 20 I was put on 1.5mg of Serenace (Haloperidol) daily. I was on it for fifty years until it was found to cause tremors. I was not advised on how long to taper down for, and probably did it too quickly half dose for two weeks, then off it completely. Since then I have

Question to those who weaned from primapexole
Hello my fellow night walkers. This is a question for those of you who have managed to wean off of a dopamine agonist. At what dose did you just stop taking all together? And did you continue to have withdrawal symptoms after that? If so approximately how long did that last? Thanks in advance to

The link between Iron and RLS
There are several chemicals that are thought to be associated with the development and symptoms of RLS. One is of course dopamine, a chemical crucial for movement, thought process as well as motivation. Drugs which work on the dopamine system, such as pramipexole, ropinirole and rotigotine, are mainstays

Reply from MJFF re High Dose Thiamine
I have just received a reply from Michael J Fox Foundation re High Dose Thiamine. My original email to them is as follows: I was diagnosed with PD in November 2015 and I have been taking Azilect 1mg daily since September 2017. I need to know if I can take it between my C/L 25/100 every three hours due to the fact that it only last two hours, is Amantadine a Dopamine Agonist? I’m also starting Amantadine, anyone on it for tremor? Good results? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks 🙏🏽

Fava beans
Does anyone eat them? And in what form? After reading about fava beans as a natural source of dopamine, I started eating fresh steamed beans in salads almost daily. I do take Sinemet 25-100 3 times daily along with Rasagiline. In PA, USA they are available, seasonally, at Wegman’s as Melissa’s steamed

Antidepressants do they contain dopamine?....
I’ve read that antidepressants contain dopamine, my question, is there’s such a thing as too much dopamine can be bad if you’re already taking meds with it? I am taking Lexapro, Wellbutrin and buspar all 1 tab once a day, plus C/L 25/100 1 tab 3x Mirapax 0.25 1 tab 3x and recently my neurologist added

The Wonders of the Mucuna Bean
To quote Dr. Maldonado, from Chapter 6 of his book, Mucuna and Parkinson’s Disease: Treatment with Natural Levodopa - “To date, 50 substances have been identified in the powder of its seeds [2]. Other still unidentified components must exist in Mucuna, such as portions or mixtures of alkaloids, proteins

MSA progression
Hi All, I hope that you are managing to enjoy the sunshine as much as possible. I haven't been active on the site for a while as things have progressed with dad. Dad is now in a hospice as he had been sleeping a lot and we were worried about dehydration and the risk of UTI's as be is prone to them. He
