California wildfires and stress/- update
I live in Northern California and have been enduring power blackouts for weeks. Today we have the 4th blackout in 3 weeks and are being told the blackouts could go on go another month as there is no rain in the forecast. Thank goodness no fires have started near me and I haven’t had to evacuate!

Stomach pain during night
I have just started a plan to lose about a stone on LCHF. As usual I woke up at about 4 pm with burning stomach pain. It feels as if my stomach acid is burning stomach because there is little food there to line it. I did take Lansparasole a few years ago but want to avoid this because they also create

Smoking was killing me, and on top of that I was paying a fortune to have a slow suicide, well thank God I was able to stop 12 years ago. Since then my life changed so much, I did put extra weight on but more about that later. Before I stopped smoking I was smoking 180 cigarettes a week, which I couldn't

Look OK but be very unwell?
Hello, Sorry to return. I have had some days of feeling quite good, odd niggles, but nothing too much. Then I have had some days of feeling awful, Yesterday was an example.......started off OK, as day wore on got terrible feelings of nausea, then the discomfort in my right side, but then gradually

Hello everyone, Here's what I made for dinner today as I wanted some comfort food as like many we have had more than our fair share of rain today. ☔️ I had some sweet potatoes which I cooked in boiling water, I also heated some olive oil in another saucepan and softened a chopped organic onion with

Fecal Calprotectin
Thank you for the welcome. I have been ill with terrible diarrhea for two weeks. Lost half a stone. Loperamide didn't help. GP wanted sample of what I produced to send to the lab. Result was they checked for all viruses & bacteria that are treatable, nothing showed up. He said the usual level of faecal

Anyone who cured GERD by going low carb, then was able to go back on carbs without the reflux starting again?
So I've had chronic acid reflux for three months now. 24/7, with nights being much more severe than days, but I have it also in the mornings. This started completely out of the blue, from feeling fine to suddenly having this. I speculate it have to do with being on Omeprazole for two weeks (for digestive

A leading Endochrinolgist advises a Thin Type-2 Diabetic! Interesting!
Here is what a leading Endochrinolgist from a leading Hospital has to say to a T2 patient of 44 years old. The patient lost weight going from 49 kg to 38 kg in her dietary approach to control blood sugar... The YouTube video link is attached at the bottom of this posting..... I'm sorry it is in Hindi

Post DIEP surgery exercises??
Hello everyone, I was discharged yesterday after a delayed
DIEP
flap
reconstruction and was given the Breast Cancer Care leaflet with 8 arm exercises. They are the same ones I had to do after the mastectomy 2 years ago. I haven't been given any information or advise about tummy exercises.

Hi healthy eaters, I am searching for a diet low in carb, fat, and protein but without affecting my general health. I have prostate cancer post surgery that recurrent and now post radiation to the prostate bed with 6 months hormonal therapy (Firmagon). High protein/fat diet is not good for me and complex

Hello, I am a 57yr old female, who has worried about my liver health for years, and sporadically sought the attention of my GP. Newbie - not yet diagnosed, looking for advice
I'm not diagnosed but am looking for advice on what I should expect (based on experience over the last few years I'm not expecting a diagnosis to be easy!) Several years I've been tired, chills, heavy frequent menstrual bleeding, weight gain and loss, headaches, blurred vision, my hair seems to be moulting

Insulin Sensitivity Important to Long Life.
I copied this from my email, because I wanted to share. This is from a mailing that I am on, from P.D. Mangan, which I signed up for on the website called: Rogue Health and Fitness. --------------------------------------------------- Just how important is insulin sensitivity to health and long life?
