L-thyroxine malabsorption due to calcium carbonate impairs blood pressure, total cholesterolemia, and fasting glycemia
Suggestions to separate taking levothyroxine from medicines/supplements is very frequent on this forum. And, yet again, backed up by research. These women will not have decided on their own, "let us take calcium carbonate after levothyroxine". No, of course not. Some medic, somewhere, will have suggested

Low Carb vs. Keto
The less I eat the better I feel. At my “Navy weight” of 120# (when I joined, and even retired), I’m unusually stable despite changing up various dietary protocols. Of course, I sample and cheat a lot but feel best when off of most dairy & gluten (& partly by association, low carb). Keto “research”

Another update - any thought gratefully received as always.
Hi again. I can’t thank you all enough for how much you’ve helped me in the past couple of months with this condition. It is so very much appreciated. Another update - I had a horrible episode at the weekend (148 HR for about 2 hrs - couldn’t stand up with dizziness) so spoke again to GP who asked

Neuropathy
Some people on the forum have been asking about neuropathy lately. The combination of 4 things should take care of most forms of this problem. Alpha lipoic acid, B12, magnesium and zinc.

Burning feet, tingling, cramp
The
diabetic
nurse said it wasn’t
neuropathy
as I have a good pulse and reflexes. They burn on the balls of the feet after 10 minutes, then cramp, then numb. They also tingle along with my hands.

Fasting sugar normal but rises before breakfast
My sugar level for fasting at 7.30 is about 90-100 but within an hour at about 8.30 without eating anything it shoots to 170-180. I am on insulin since 22 years but this is strange for me. Any advise

No sugar challenge week 1 of 8 I have been told I'm high risk for type 2 diabetes, something that's totally preventable so I want to do something about it! My main weakness is refined sugars so I know I need to do something about it! It's supposed to take 8 weeks to get the sugar out your system, so

Non insulin injections for type 2
Hi. I have a long and complicated health history which includes: thyroid cancer, type 2 diabetes and ckd. I was hoping for feedback from anyone who has or is using a weekly non insulin injection. I am currently on Diamicron 120 and Glixambi, but my body just isn’t coping and my last hba1c was 9.1!

Hunger while calorie counting first week
Hi all I’m counting calories to lose weight and I’m hungry a lot. It’s week one but definitely finding it a bit hard. I’ve been overeating all the time for years so it’s necessary I restrict the volume. But, getting hungry about an hour after each eating session. What have others developed as strategies

What do people mean when they say….
Diet
This phrase is a bit ambiguous: it can mean way of eating, see below, or it can mean a temporary weight loss plan that you only do for a short amount of time, before returning to your previous diet. See? It's confusing!
WOE/Way of eating
The term diet has negative connotations

Chili Cream??
My Neurologist rang me yesterday to check how my painful feet have been since my last appointment with her a few months ago. Even though they still hurt when I over do things, they are improving slowly. I know I was fortunate to find one of the good ones as she said to carry on with the every other
