Far infrared Jade stone heating pad, available on eBay or Amazon. Really helps me with any kind of pain. I have a small size. Also one of a Homedics massager with two vibrating balls on the end. Magnesium oil rubbed in.

Sounds like a disk issue in your back.

Sounds like dystonia. Are you on any meds?

I get that when my meds wear off, worse is in the morning when I wake up.

I've had something similar in last week or two. Started out as lower back pain on right side and hurt to move in certain positions. The worst was pain radiating to my groin with some movements. I thought might be IT band, but when I looked it up, it said pain would be more around your knee, which mine wasn't. A friend emailed she'd been having a bout with sciatica, which she described as follows: At first I thought I had IT band issues, but the pain would move around, buttock, down side of the leg, then front of leg into groin.....apparently classic sciatica.

I asked a PT friend who suggested lying on my back and pulling my knee to my chest, also foam roller on my butt and nerve flossing, which she said I should look up.

Now the pain has migrated so that, like yours, with some movement I get pain on right outer thigh from hip to knee. Especially noticeable if I am sitting for a while and stand. I wondered about dystonia too, but my left is my affected, weaker side. This is on my right side. Since social isolation, I have stopped going to the chiropractor, the acupuncturist, and for massage. The acupuncturist worked on dystonia and pain, among other things, and I am definitely feeling the difference. My left toes are curling up with dystonia in the mornings before meds, for one.

I've been using CBD cream, topically. Not sure it is helping much. Trying not to sleep on my right side and compress nerve further. Any suggestions welcome. I am not comfortable going to acupuncturist or chiropractor, so I am on my own. (Tried to convince my husband to take an online massage therapy class and practice on me, but didn't fly!)
