I can't sleep feel like my heart is going to stop
It's one of those nights again. I feel pressure in my chest. I thought I was going to be able to sleep today but I guess not. Its frustrating because I was already falling asleep but I was awaken by a sudden jerk. Now every time I am falling asleep I get woken up by the sudden jerk that makes me feel

Graves Disease
Hi, I have type 2 diabetes, I was over-prescribed metformin which had its horrors. When I came off it I was quickly diagnosed with thyroxicosis and hypercalcemia. Saw the endocrinologist yesterday. |He sat there and said do you know what you have wrong with you, then he told me I had Graves disease

Late onset type 1 diabetes?
Husband diagnosed with cirrhosis a couple of months ago, fibroscan reading confirmed this but no varices and no ascites. Waiting to hear back further from gastroenterologist on this. In the meantime, the metformin he had been prescribed for T2 diabetes didn't seem to be working, still had all the symptoms

Blood sodium levels
Stage 3b My last labs over the past year have had a decrease in my blood sodium levels. Last test was 131. Nephrologist said I need to start eating more protein as that helps to keep sodium in your bloodstream instead of getting out in your body tissue. I don’t have any edema and take a diuretic. Not

Over and over and over again!
Well, me and Week5 Run3 have become VERY good friends. I've done a total of four re-runs now, the last one being this morning, and can now cruise through without too much of a challenge. So my next run will be Week6 Run1 and hopefully onwards and upwards. I have been having a bit of a challenge with

Head pins and needles
Hi all, I hope you're all hanging on in there. I am newly diagnose and wanted to ask if anyone has pins and needles, especially in the head. I am having these weird sensations all over my body, difficulty walking with balance issues, plus vision problems too. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thank

Taurine supplements New Scientist Page 18, 17 June 2023
There is a research article in the news article section of the New Scientist that week saying that Taurine supplements may extend lifespan and health as we get older. 12,000 60 year olds were analysed and higher taurine levels correlated with better health and lower incidence of type 2 diabetes and reduced

Berberine and Levothyroxine
Hi This is my first post. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice about taking berberine with levothyroxine. I am currently taking 100mcg of levo daily. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes which I try and control with a low carb diet. However my blood sugar seems to be rising

I’m thinking about Benfotiamine.
Hello all of you HU people ~ I am the wife of a PwP, dx 12/29/2020. Our history ( very briefly) ~ left sides tremors and anxiety, mostly. We tried B1 HCL ~ didn’t work. Tried Thiamine mononitrate and that seemed to work for a while Recently I took hubby off all B1. None of them seemed to work

swollen feet etc
I got as far as Week 8 and did sneak in a 30min jog. However my feet, ankles and lower calves had swollen in the hot weather to the point where I could hardly get my shoes on. The gp prescribed a low dose diuretic which had some effect, as has the drop in temperature. My ankles still swell in the

Pycnogenol® supplementation alleviates symptoms of Parkinson's disease with mild cognitive impairment
Recent article 2022. Not sure if it was posted. I was going to take it to lower my BP which has started to creep up. I worried because I had read [i]Their pharmacodynamic action primarily consists of antioxidant properties and possible anti-inflammatory effects. Pycnogenol may also influence the release

Auto injector advice please
I SI B12, but my daughter is needle phobic so I have to do her injections regularly for her. She would like to try an auto injector... Where do I begin? Any advice welcome as to where to purchase and tips on how to use (especially if you are needle phobic). How did you find it? Did it help? is it painless

Relieve pain in the penis, scrotum and perineum?
Pain in the penis, scrotum, and perineum can be distressing, but there are several approaches that may help relieve the discomfort. Here are some suggestions: 1. Apply warm compress: Placing a warm compress or towel on the affected area can help relax the muscles and reduce pain. Ensure the compress

I have diabetes 2 and love Cheese!
🧀 I have diabetes 2 and I have over my life luved the stuff! I cannot sleep, I know it takes time to digest, thus the heat from it in my system, keeps me awake! My Dad used to creep down in the middle of the night, for that snack of the stuff, he was into blue cheese, it blocked his cholesterol, eventually

Caffeine and progression of Parkinson’s disease: A deleterious interaction with Creatine
So I was thinking of adding Creatine to my stack based on a VERY positive video I watched from a "doctor" who it turns out graduated from an unimpressive medical school within the last 10 years and has already surrendered his license. So then I thought I should research his claims about Creatine and
