Well, me and Week5 Run3 have become VERY good friends. I've done a total of four re-runs now, the last one being this morning, and can now cruise through without too much of a challenge. So my next run will be Week6 Run1 and hopefully onwards and upwards.
I have been having a bit of a challenge with my hypertension and nerve pain in my left shin, but it's nothing that can't be sorted with bit of medication tweaking for the BP and some teeth gritting for my shin. Weight loss not going too badly either - 9lbs down now - and my latest HbA1c is almost back intothe pre-diabetic range...............so, all in all, looking pretty good 👍👍

Well done from a re-beginner! I was just watching videos about proper technique to avoid injury today, in case that helps with your shin pain? youtube.com/watch?v=gsUL3a1...
This one has good information on causes of shin splints and what to do (rest and rebuild!), you said it's nerve pain for you so maybe it's not relevant, but I thought I'd added it in case any part of it was useful:
Thanks for this SlowCarb My nerve pain is due to spinal damage and there's not a lot can be done now after several surgeries. It's just a grit yer teeth and ignore it until the nerve stops being over-stimulated by whatever is causing it in my spinal cord this time🙄 Cord compression is a b*tch!
