Adrenal saliva test?
I decided to leave Secretory IgA out and repeat the ordinary one which measures cortisol level and
DHEA
levels. As the one that includes Secretory IgA is more expensive. Do you guys think it is reasonable to leave out Secretory IgA? many thanks xx

I've upped my thyroid meds - so why do I feel more exhausted than ever !!???
I also take
DHEA
, Vit B12, Vit D3 and EPO. Since upping my T4 though by 25mcg I feel more exhausted and demotivated than ever!?? I wake up like I am coming out of a coma!! I am at a loss to think why?

Do you only get reverse T3 problems with T4?
my tests results have always shown low adrenals, low
dhea
, low testosterone - basically adrenal fatigue. I am trying CT3M to tackle this.

Anyone on dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA)?
"Dehydroepiandrosterone (
DHEA
). Supplements containing this hormone have been shown to reduce the dose of steroids needed to stabilize symptoms in some people who have lupus."

9 Years of Hypo - Part 3 - getting treatment
Subsequently I have realised my symptoms were a real mix of hypo and adrenal problems and my adrenals and
DHEA
levels are still woefully low. That may have got his attention more if he had seen those results. Back to the GP, she said her hands were tied but was very sympathetic.

Testosterone in women - why is it important and why would levels drop?
and my
DHEA
is low. But is that why my testosterone is low too? And what does that do/how does that effect women? Is it low because adrenals are low? Does taking
DHEA
and pregnelone fix adrenals and testosterone output??

DHEA dihydroepiandrosterone
hello everyone, had a great appointment with my lovely Rhumy yesterday. Although I am going through a rough patch with my Lupus I still would like to keep off the Steroids if I can. My Rhumy has suggested the above to help treat the lupus along side the Plaquinel and gabapentin etc I am taking.

What's the problem - Low progesterone, low dhea or low thyroid?
In my endless quest to try and fiix myself I have found that I have low
DHEA
(very low), I have adrenal problems, although that appears to be improving due to lifestyle changes, low Vit D - also improving due to supplementation.

Blood Pressure and adrenal test
And while they are not perfect yet, they have improved it is just
DHEA
that's off the bottom of the scale. Quick question - I seem to to remember that if your blood pressure drops when you are standing then it is a sign of adrenal problems.

Doc thinks I am on too much T3 - have I gone over or under?? Really confused...!!
B - We dont know why my
DHEA
has remained stubornly low. I thought it was because of adrenals and CT3M would help that but doc not a fan of T3 only. Is low
DHEA
why hair hasnt recovered?? Would suplplementing help?

Recovery is Possible - Assuming You Know What's Really Wrong... Part 5 - Symptoms vs Tests – Oestrogen Dominance
As my
DHEA
levels are compromised (see previous blog on Adrenals for more) production of sex hormones has to be out of whack. Back to symptoms. The PMT symptoms got worse over time but I didn’t really register (think frog in water that’s being heated up slowly.)
