Hi Make sure you have had TSH, T4 and Free T3 tested, sometimes for costs only TSH done, useless. Also make sure your U`s and E`s are OK as adrenal gland sits on the kidneys.I assume you have had the usual tests, Glucose ( same symptoms to start with as autoimmune and hormonal) Vit ( calcium if low) Ferritin/iron and B12 + foliates.,your endo should have done them.Is it Urethea? If so have you seen a urologist? it may be connected with the adrenal gland, I am not sure about it. However, I would make sure I am seeing the appropiate d doctor and also a lot depends on why you had the adrenal gland removed. The fact that it has been picked up I would suggest, you are being looked after properly on this occasion.

Sorry I cannot help more but I would not speculate.dhea is normally high for arthritis etc, so I suppose it depends how low it is but usually better than high.It may be diababetes hormonal and autoimmune very like thyroid symptoms to start with. Make sure you have had a 12 hour fasting test, glucose and Hb A1c tests. it may well be due to the adrenal OP as the adrenal is very involved in this production.

Sorry I cannot help further. Try looking at the Mayo clinic USA, the sight all the medics use, very good.

Best wishes,

Jackie

Thanks for your input ...4 years ago ...because of high ESR and other symptoms I was diagnosed with PMR an immune problem and put on Prednisolone by Rhueamatologist....weaning off the Preds ..back on the Preds ..weaned off again...so I insisted on a CT scan thrax/abdo/pelvic ...which found a tumour 7cm x 4cm x12cm on my Adrenal gland aptley named ..an Incindental-noma .Which was removed by keyhole ...I then sought a referral to an Endocrine Consultant in London ..My endo has now prescribed DHEA 25mg od and my painful thighs and heavy legs have gone...I have reduced from 5mg to 2.5mg preds.
