Transplant Recipient from 1999
Hello all... I had a kidney transplant in 1999 (living related donor). 18 years later, it looks like its starting to teeter. Many people are volunteering to be tested to be donors (the outpouring is really very moving), but we are not yet close enough to have to pull any triggers just yet: keep BP

I have ITP -immune thrombocytopenic purpura - and taking the steroid Prednisolone for about 5 weeks. I was told this could raise my glucose and my HbA1c shows a read of 6.9 or 52mm. I have been asked to see the Doctor. Is this high?

Finally been labeled as a crazy due to hashimoto's and it was heartbreaking
So I've been in probably the worst healthcare system i've ever experienced where nobody knows a thing about autoimmune or how to test for or even listen to their patients and just label us as hypochondriacs. What made it worse was an email suggesting I get a neuropsychological test as he believes its

6 months post ablation and off Eliquis - occasional pint.
It's been almost a month after six months post ablation that I don't take Eliquis. (Stopped Metoprolol and Flecanaide 30 days after ablation). The only condition is that I regularly check my blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose that would change my score since I am over 65. My EP says that eventually

Advice
Hello I’m hoping someone can advise me on my current situation. I’ve been diagnosed with hypothyroidism two years ago and have put most symptoms down to this. Although a few symptoms have flagged up which I thought might not be related? I take my glucose levels in the morning as I have been waking extremely

And so it begins ....
Hi all, I went for a routine MOT at the gym, this highlighted that I was as fit as I had hoped due to running at least 2 times a week. Good blood pressure, low glucose, excellent resting heartbeat..... then came the cholesterol check, the machine simply said 'HI' (nice and polite I thought). subsequently

High biotin doses may interfere with some SERUM blood tests, e.g. thyroid, anaemia. Those on Ibrutinib please note!
Those taking biotin PLEASE take note!

Preds and diabetes 2.
Had appt with diabetes nurse today. Good news bp ok but glucose levels 93 (11) After flare up 2 months ago I've reduced from 20mcg to 17mcg pred. Have agreed to see Endocrinologist but there's a long wait for appt. Tomorrow I'll start reducing carbs and hopefully this will help - don't want to
