Mirena IUD and Severe Dandruff
I had a lap in February to remove my rectum from my vagina (stage 4). During the lap I was fitted with the mirena iud. Over the past 4 months I’ve lost so much hair that my hair line at the front is super thin. I’ve also noticed horrible dandruff with scabbing. It’s the only thing that’s changed in the

Second opinion
Hello. I was diagnosed with stage 1 endo via Lap in Nov ‘18. Since then I’ve had the Depo injection and now the coil since August last year. Since December I’ve had regular bouts of severe pain, where it literally leaves me on the floor or unable to move. I have pain when I urinate and urinate frequently

Headaches
Hi everyone I’ve been having headaches almost daily for a few weeks now and I’ve been prescribed beta blockers and Sumatriptan which didn’t work at all so I contacted my GP again and was prescribed Naproxen and Omeprazole which also did not work Last week I took a trip to A&E and they took blood tests

Copper coil cause Thrush?
Has anyone experienced long term thrush with the copper coil? I did the 6 months treatment (one pill a week) and whilst on that I was fine, I finished a couple of weeks ago and it's back. It's not full on thrush but enough to be annoying and making me uncomfortable. Its got to be linked with this! The

Is the coil known to be more effective than the pill?
Hi all, I am a bit confused and wondered if anyone has had the same experience? Why is the Mirena pushed over the pill? My gynaecologist has put me on the Mirena coil that I’ve had now for about 4 months. I am not really enjoying it to be honest and have been having quite a sore stomach and I feel

Another Mirena question... Looking for reasurrance 🙄
A little update... Surgery planned for this thursday, notes issue sorted and no cancellation letter yet 🤞 Some of you know that I didn't get on too well with the mirena coil - fitted in January and then had a partial expulsion - removed 13th May. Had the most horrendous amount of bleeding afterwards

Mirena IUD levonorgestrel levels after 6 years?
Hi there, I decided to have the Mirena IUD fitted 6 years ago for the treatment of Endio and will now need this replaced. Does anyone know how the hormonal side of the Mirena works in terms of longevity. ie Should I expect any side effects when this is replaced as the level of levonorgestrel has lessened

Tranexamic acid
What’s your experience of Tranexamic Acid? I’m currently on week 5 of heavy period after coming off everything a year ago. Had coil removed and stopped Zoladex injections to give my body a break from over 10 years of drugs. I wish I hadn’t. The pain I thought was quite intense is nothing compared to

Ladies, contraception and ET JAK2
Ladies, I was diagnosed by accident after going to the Doc for really heavy and painful periods. Paracetamol wouldn’t touch it and I can’t take Brufen anyway due to having IBS. So now I have a diagnosis of ET, I’m on 75mg aspirin which, as you’ll all be aware makes bleeding even worse and can’t be

COIL, HORMONES... PLEASE HELP
Hi everyone, I have been advised to take my copper coil out to put the hormonal coil in to manage symptoms that look like endometriosis. However, they haven't done laparoscopy so we aren't sure yet if I do have endo. It is confusing, frustrating and overwhelming, I am not a fan of the idea of putting

Weird lines on penis head
Not sure what's going on here. no itchiness no irritation. Think it might be scars from hitting my wife's iud and it cutting me. Any ideas? Googling hasn't turned up anything similar in the least.

Lap confirmed Endo and what appears to be cyclical hand pain?
Hi all, Long time since I have posted but a little baffled by my latest symptoms and looking to see if anyone can relate to me. Diagnosed with stage 3 endo in 2009 at 24. Have been on prostap which helped many years ago. I am on 20mg MST BD and oramorph for breakthrough pain. This is a massive step

Is my endo back?
I was finally diagnosed when I had a laparoscopy back in May of 2018, they said they successfully removed all that was there and they put in a Mirena coil as treatment and I was under the impression that, since I had such a mild case, I would be fine. Since last summer I've been having random pain on

IUD mirena coil vs jaydess
Hey :) I've just got an appointment booked in to have a coil fitted, but the lady on the phone mentioned the jaydess coil which I've never heard of. She said it's smaller compared to the mirena and has less hormones in it. I'm not too fussed about the length of time it works for, just the amount of
