I just wanted to to see if anyone else has had similar. I am currently on the Mirena Coil and have been for nearly a year - this was to help my bleeding which i was constantly on a period for around 2 years. I had a small amount of endo removed during this also. I am quite a regular bleeder and come on every month stabilized with the coil - but this month, i have had raging cramps but no blood, just a bit of brown discharge. I bleed when I have a stool and my lower back and abdomen are killing me. Has anyone else had this and is it a concern? I am struggling to deal with the period cramps with no period coming...
Any advice would be great!

Hi im the opposite not sure if this is of any help but im on my second coil at the moment due to endo,
i bled and was in awful pain for the first 2 month but once the coil settled so did my bleeding. I only ever had the brownish coloured blood around my period and still get the hormones that come with it. Doctors and other health professionals said it was could be some of the scar tissue that can come away.
Is it the 5 year mirena you have in ? My last coil i had in worked for 3 years then stopped releasing the hormones so i had to have it changed.
As for the pain id go see your doctor to ask if they can prescribe anything stronger they told me that id just have to manage the pain with painkillers ..... which is frustrating in itself as they dont always work !!
Possibly check your threads aswell or if your anything like me i can never feel them so when im worried if its moved or stopped working i get the doctor to check this for me.
I hope you get some more help in managing the pain ! X
Hi - it is the 5 year one! i have to have it checked on my second year they said. I am due at the docs on Thursday - so I will mention it there... I can't feel my strings as they cut them too short -- they had to do a scan to make sure it was still there last time! I will see what the doctors say - thank you! X
Just wanted to update anyone reading, my cervical ectropian had come back and i also had a cyst on my left overy which had burst. After a week in hospital, they decided the coil wasnt working on my endo and removed it . They also gave me the prostap 3 injection, which i habe to get every 3 months to bring on menopause and hopefully calm the endo.
