Iron test results
My results came back "normal no action", but I wonder if supplementing may be beneficial? Serum iron level: 14umol/L (9.00-30.00 umol/L) Serum transferrin: 2.6 g/L (2.00-3.60g/L) Transferrin saturation index: 22% (15.00-45.00%) I still feel so tired all the time! Any advice would be appreciated.

Switch from Thyroid-S...?
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I am currently reviewing my options: staying on Thyroid-S, trying any of the other Thai brands instead, or giving Erfa another chance (I do have a prescription for Erfa but don't like the critical reviews going back a couple of years). It's also possible

I have been posting on the thyroid thread but it has been suggested that I post here. I paid for a private blood test from Blue Horizon and it showed the following:- This is a hyperthyroid result (overactive thyroid gland). The high free thyroxine level suggests that there is some issue with your thyroid

Iron and Thyroid Hormone Replacement
Can low iron explain why one might have optimal thyroid blood results but still be getting symptoms? Or would your bloods not be optimal if the cause was low iron? Does low iron stop the cells from using the hormones? I know low iron in itself can cause symptoms but i have always had low iron and not

Nitrofurantoin
Anyone taken Nitrofurantoin & had adverse effect on B12 levels? Had them prescribed for UTI, says on info leaflet to TAKE SPECIAL CARE if you have 'a lack of Vitamin B or abnormal levels'. There is no specific reference to Vitamin B12, so are they just generalising. e.g any type of vitamin B deficiency

Possible iron anemia
Hello everyone My mum is 48 years old and she just did a blood test as she was feeling very tired, couldnt sleep properly and lost significant weight and doesnt have a appetite. The results came back showing low hemoglobin and the gp said that it could be an iron anemia or internal bleeding. However

Low B12 without the PA
I've been diagnosed with having B12 deficiency as well as Folic acid deficiency. Does this mean that I have pernicious anaemia? My doctor said no, because I was not anaemic as my Iron was ok. As I understand it, I will have to have B12 injections from now on, and that I can't absorb it, which is the
