Next step in solving the mystery of my burning feet, but need a little bit of advice
Hi all I’m in need of some more advice. As suggested, I’ve tried raising my vitamin levels since Nov 2023 and although not perfect, they’ve gone up. I’m still having burning in my feet so decided to go to a consultant. Below are my most recent bloods. 7th Feb 2024 Medichecks Blood tests

I Find This Helpful.
I have reviewed some information on B12 supplementation that can be found it relates to autism. I found it to be very helpful so I thought I would share that. Not that any of us need more information to review. I with some study apply the principle of Gestalt psychologist Kurt Koffka:

Hydroxocobalamin
I have asked prior as part of other posts Where can I find the details on how or why Hydroxo is better or longer lasting and by how much longer lasting is it marketed as being . . . . . I think many need the details of the supposed advantages of Hydroxo. . . . . I certainly have bought and used

I am reading elsewhere on health unlocked that we need B2 to absorb B6 which prevents excess B6. . . . . This is conection with PD although seems appropriate for most I currently use B6 usually about 3mg along with 600/700ish B12 and I use B6 as B12 more or less cured a load of my symptoms but

Newbie and confused. Functional B12 deficiency?
Hi everyone, I am new here but I have been a member of the thyroid forum for many years. I've also just joined the Sjogren's and the lupus groups because some of my symptoms could be attributed to these though I have no diagnoses, and the Changing Faces group for my rhinophyma. I have Hashi's and thyroid

8 Day Trial.
Current trial 1 mg hydroxocobalamin, 1.5 mg of adenosylcobalamin, 1.5 mg of methylcobalamin. Day one. No other supplements other than 50 mg of B6 twice a day in the form or P-5-P as symptoms do not indicate a need for any other supplements. Without supplementing B6 I experience peripheral neuropathy

Needle size for Surgery injections?
Yesterday I had my 3 monthly B12 jab and was rather taken aback to be injected in the shoulder with a 21G 1 1/2 “needle which was quite painful unlike when I self inject with 25G x 1” needle. I don’t remember needles being this large in the past and wondered if this is common practice to draw from ampoule

Vegan breast-feeding and supplements
My daughter is currently breast feeding. The baby can’t tolerate dairy so my daughter, who is already vegetarian has had to cut out dairy. So she’s now vegan. I asked her if she’s supplementing b12 and she said she’s been advised to take this multi supplement. Looking at it it includes an impressive

New GP is considering to give me B12 pills instead of injections - would that be the same in the long run?
Started having B12 injections two yeas ago and worked fine. Now moved to a new village and the new GP ordered blood tests to see if I should continue. Fought back and said that without the injections my B12 levels are going down. He asked me to take vitamin pills and have another blood test. If levels

Duff batch of B12?
Have any self-injectors ever found their symptoms coming back big-time over a period of several weeks and wondered if they've been using a duff batch of B12? I have been self-injecting every other day for 18 months because of persistent neurological symptoms (paraspinal muscle spasm). I was doing great

Back to square one
My Dr checked my thyroid levels with some other blood tests without me knowing, so I had taken my T4 (50mcg) about an hour before! Based on the results, she said I was now fine and took me off the medication. I tried to argue saying it needed to be before my meds and she said that was wrong. I had always

Monitor My Health iron test - lack of ranges
I spent a bit more money on my MMH test this year as I’ve never had an iron panel done but have always had low iron indicators on a full blood test. I didn’t get complete results as ferritin failed (posting the kit back took 48 hours when it was tracked to take 24) but the results I did get, I can’

Methylfolate dose for B12 injections
Whilst high dose folic acid is definitely helping me utilise my EOD injections, I think it’s also progressively not agreeing with me so I am going to try methylfolate. However, there seems no information on the recommended dose for supporting injections. Is anyone else on it, and how much do you take
