Worried about over-range fT4
Hi everyone. I’m a bit confused by recent Medichecks result. In myself I’ve been feeling great (re tiredness, brain fog etc) but I have had a couple of migraines recently and have put on a couple of pounds. I should mention I’ve had some stomach problems going back a few months as well (reflux and allegedly

Changing from methyl to hydroxo worries
Hi everyone. I'm about to switch from methyl b12 ampules to Dr myhill's hydroxo, and I'm worried about side effects. I've only been SI for under a year and I've never had a break, so I don't know how I'll react. I've never injected hydroxo. I've been SI 0.5ml of the methyl EOD, which equates to 375mcg

I don't know what else to say, laughing. Insert big fat sigh as well. I have zero understanding why my labs continue to be so off. The endocrinologist is going to accuse me of non-compliance yet again (I will go NOPE, NOPE & NOPE.) I take those little buggers in the middle of the night like a champ.

depression
can I ask if any members find that lack of B12 increases depression.I find when “low” that an increase in SI is becoming necessary.I would be grateful for members views.

More B12 injections?
I’m currently injecting hydroxo once a day. I feel this isn’t enough. I’ve been injecting for 2 years. Does anyone here inject more than once a day? If so have there been any improvements?

High IronLow Ferritin
Hi, after my last results 2 months ago my ferritin level has dropped further regardless of the B12 suplaments (was told they are supposed to aid in converting iron to ferritin) however they have been no use. My ferritin has dropped further. Any recommendations on tests or suplaments? I live in Cyprus

Eustachian tube dysfunction is it possible this is connected to b12 deficiency?
My partner has has b12 deficiency symptoms for years, only recently diagnosed. He gets a fullness in his ears, he cant pop them even with all methods ENT teach you. I was just wondering if anyone else had had these problems. Initially we thought his off balance feeling when walking was caused by this

tingling feet and hands
I have a tingling/buzzing feeling in feet and hands. I also get a burning leg sensation at night in bed which I've always put down to menopause. The tingling is a lot worse since covid mid july. Also have treated underactive thyroid and fatigue. I'm aware that B12 should ideally be higher for T4 conversion

Finally diagnosed, but next steps unclear
Hi, newbie here. I've felt like crap since last year. A health check had my B12 at about 250 with folate just below the NHS bottom range around December 2022. I was told it was ok, not to worry, I didn't have symptoms blah blah. A few months ago I started to get tingling in the right hand (I say

Designing new trial
I chose to stop my SL methylcobalamin and start injecting methylcobalamin. I started with 1 mg three times a day. After three days I found that sometimes I could feel that I had used up my B12 between injections and went to 1.5 mg three times a day and found that to be disruptive and decided that was

My body did not get the memo.
I accept that a test had been done measuring the amount of Hydroxocobalamin and Cynocabalamin that can be measured in the urine at different times after the injection and that the numbers are likely repeatable. I do not know if any testing was done on a subject that was B12 deficient. I find it unlikely

Burning tongue "syndrome": nerve-related ?
I saw a different Oral Medicine consultant very briefly last week, who told me that nerve damage was the cause of my constantly burning tongue - and then offered me Amitryptyline as a six-month pain relief trial. I refused the offer of this antidepressant, but missed the opportunity to ask the obvious
