Just wondering if anyone has come across any information about vaping being linked to B12 deficiency? I know that there's an established link between the recreational use of nitrous oxide and severe neurological symptoms leading to a ban last month.

The reason I'm asking is that I work with students in a pastoral capacity and met with a student who is evidently suffering from undiagnosed depression and anxiety. However, they are also a vaping addict and have been vaping excessively since their early teens. They were pallid, lethargic and have lost enthusiasm for anything that requires any application or effort.
I recognise that these are all classic signs of depression but wondered if there might also be a physiological dimension to this as this is exactly how I feel at the moment with very low B12 levels!
Hopefully they will make an appointment to see their GP but wonder if I should also suggest they get some blood tests too...
Also stumbled across B12 available in vape form - the consensus seems to be don't try this at home!
