ENTERIC COATING....MAY NEED SOME WARNINGS
Having just gone through my worst flare of my 15 months of actively dealing with GCA and PMR......I've ended up spending most of my time in bed with time to think. Hubby and I have done some posting about our decision to split my daily dosage ( 18mg ) to relieve some of my morning PMR pain. For three

Awake
I have been up since 4.00am, but just lazing about, back aches and I have just noticed my skin on my legs has got very thin. My veins show through , I am on steroids 10mgs. Do steroids thin your skin? Also I met someone who had cancer , now in remission. But he gave me some advice . To use red thyme

Saw palmetto capsules
Hi since I was diagnosed as hypothyroid, I have lost more & more of my hair on the top & sides of my head, and it was becoming a real problem. My mother (also hypo like me) has the same problem and her hair is terribly thin. I did some research on line, and for a month have been taking 1000mg saw palmetto

Are there ways to stay active, productive and socially involved as Ataxia symptoms gradually get worse?
About fifteen years ago, I was an active person selling various insurance and investment products. Then, I started noticing balance problems. At first, I underestimated how much my ability to maintain balance had decreased and, as a result, had no concern walking over a garden hose in my garage. The

Re Leg Discomfort
It was interesting to read the replies to the recent post on leg discomfort, and especially to learn that our "Volunteer" had driven almost all the way through France without discomfort. I was diagnosed with pmr at the beginning of this year, and am just tapering down via the ultra slow method from 10mg

Bloody eye
I have PMR, diagnosed in 2013. Taking pred, and holding for past 5 months at 5 mg. two weeks ago, I decided it's time to try to reduce a bit, so began to take 4 mg every other day, alternating with the 5 mg. Things are going well, no indication of flare! I'm happy! Until 4 evenings ago, I took one

Dulera
It is so frustrating to work with DRs when you have a lung disease. I was told that IF I have COPD, it's probably mild, but Dr thinks it's now asthma. Switched my meds again, this time to Dulera. Still do not feel any benefits. Does anyone else here use Dulera? And if so, do you suffer side effects

Nothing fishy!
The Australian Taxation Office suspected a fishing boat owner wasn't paying proper wages to his deckhand and sent an agent to investigate him. ATO AUDITOR: "I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them". Boat Owner: "Well, there's Clarence, my deckhand, he's been with me for 3 years

Good morning all I recently invested the princely sum of £7.98 to get two garden candles on the obviously ridiculous assumption that it might stop raining at some point & we could sit outside for 10 minutes one evening. Anyway in spite of my ludicrously optimistic & fundamentally flawed thinking I've

PIP RECONSIDERATION....
Got my reconsideration for Pip a few days ago, was another zero points of daily and mobility. This time the DM said in summary I opened a door with right hand...I am left handed with left hand and lead with the left. And as far as I can remember my daughter opened all doors for me. My diary and
