Waiting for treatment - things to do in the meantime?
I know we will get

as part of treatment but wondering about finding someone now. I'm not sure if I should go with someone locally (cheaper) or go with the clinic therapist who also works privately (more expensive) so that there is continuity when we get the funded

Graves’ depression and anxiety
I’ve recently sought
counselling
and I really hope it will help. I’m also inching closer to taking meds my gp gave me a script for zoloft. My experience has been so difficult to explain to people around me because admittedly I feel crazy talking about this experience.

Anxious patients - just thinking
There's lots of reasons why which I won't go into, I'm having

etc but it's a long process.

I need help..
Hello all. I write this message with tears pouring from my eyes. I am desperate and I need help. I am a single father of a 6 year old boy with ADHD. He has the sweetest heart but lacks the ability to self regulate his behavior for long. I get notes every day from his daycare about how terrible his behavior

I think my meds are working. Now what?
I'm finding this forum pretty helpful, so now I'm posting an update about my saga (refresher: diagnosed a month ago at age 33, only lasted 6 days on adderall because it made my depression worse, also on prozac for depression/anxiety) my psychiatrist started me on dexedrine (5mg 2x/day, will switch to

Are there any alternatives to Prednisolone?
I've booked a call with the GP for my day off and I'm trying to book
counselling
for as soon as possible but I really do think the pred makes me worse. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! xx

Nursing trauma, night sweats and blood pressure
where a patient banged his head open over and over again whilst simultaneously screaming in my face, I swerved in front of a lorry then back again and sat at the side of the road sobbing and realised it was time to see my GP and get a new job, all my mental health is slowly under control with further

Tired
I joined this group months ago. Been dealing with depression my whole life and I’m just tired. It’s gotten to the point where nothing works some days I’m on meds and counseling. I work outside in my yard and that helps but today is bad

Newly diagnosed, scared, need encouragement
Hi everyone. I was just diagnosed with ADHD, and I'm feeling a lot of things right now. In some ways, it was a relief - something I've known my whole life and was finally validated. But it's also bringing up a lot of feelings. Making me remember all the times I've struggled and felt different and tried

Can anyone help with my sleep anxiety?
This is my fourth round and I found something new. During my last rounds I was able to take significant time off work. Now I'm retraining as a teacher, working full-time and my colleagues are giving me lots of stress (they are not nice people). I cannot take too much time off. I was told I was only able

Sharing Resource: Crisis Counseling
There's a resource that is available right now through a COVID-19 grant. Peer Crisis Counselors are providing services - talking about whatever is on your mind, developing coping mechanisms related to stress from the pandemic or providing information to resources available (mental health, housing, etc
