My stroke was Aug 2017. My life and family have been devastated. I had an amazingly happy marriage of 10 yeqrs when I had stroke. We currently have been married 13 years and my stroke nearly tore us apart. My husband has an avoidant personality and my needs increased after stroke. People with avoidany personality tend to pull away when their partner has an increased need for their attention. He didnt know what was going on with us and neither did I originally. He also was triggered into a mid life crisis. He nearly cheated on me and had planned to. I discovered he had joined affair hookup sites. We have been working hard in marriage counseling but my emotions are all over the place. I find myself striving to make us work some days and coming up with a plan for separation other days. The stroke really changed my mental health and my emotions are all over the place. I have lost my ability to control them. I have explosive anger, uncontrollable crying outburst, paranoia, and its destroying us. I need mental health support badly.
