Am I falling to pieces? Lol
Hi All, I hope everyone is doing ok. This is my second post now, since my heart attack and my stent being fitted on November 30th. In my last post I mentioned the various pains I'd been experiencing, all of which seemed quite common and other people were very reassuring. Call me in denial but when I

Holiday insurance
I’ve seen recommendations here for holiday insurance but haven’t made a note of any companies. If it’s any help I’m female 71 with PAF and one stent. Thanks all.

Cardiac rehabilitation
Hi all, I had a heart attack mid November, had a stent fitted and spent three days in hospital. I was told I’d get contacted about cardiac rehabilitation, chased it up last week and apparently I’d been forgotten about, but am now on the list to start at the end of Jan. Can’t get a GP appt though they

Shooting pain below left nipple
Hi. Is it normal to be still getting discomfort around the heart and the odd shooting pain 2 weeks after having a heart attack and a stent fitted left descending artery? It feels like a sharp stabbing pain below my left nipple. Not excruciatingly painful but enough to be distracting and slightly worrying

A case study post bariatric surgery
For anyone who has access to twitter, this case study posted yesterday might be of some interest. Probably as much for the discussion as the original case. (Don't get too excited! It is just another case where the origination of the problem doesn't get blamed. As I see it, the cause was iatrogenic and

Embarrassing post HA problem
I had a heart attack in 2021, and a stent fitted. As with us all I was put in a cocktail of drugs - 6 in all and I have taken these every day since. Since my HA I have had erection problems, maintaining it is now seemingly impossible. I’m only 59 and wish to continue to have a sex life but this is now

Safe and useful to take K2 MK7 after stent and under clopidogrel ??
After ordinary check up, my cardiologist diagnosed a block of branch and prescribed coronarography... during the procedure placing of a stent and since then I have to take the "usual" cocktail: clopidogrel (for maybe 1 year?) + 80mg statins + asaflow + ramipril... I'm looking for something else, to

Shallower breathing after stent placements, no heart attack
Before my two stents two weeks ago my breathing was deep and satisfying. Since I got the stents, my breathing is shallower though I'm not breathless. I'm doing my cardio-rehab and function very well physically. I am quite physically active. I am concerned because before my stenting I felt my body

One year on, happy Christmas!
Hi all, I have reached my one year anniversary since my HA while out on a 30 mile ride last Christmas Day. So I spent last Christmas in A&E and then the cardiac ward in the PRUH with a visit to Kings College for my stent. Wasn’t what was planned that’s for sure! LVT was then diagnosed so more stress

wierd symptoms mostly at night…. Plus diet
Since MI diagnosed last Sunday, going to be medically managed and monitored for now (stenosis in 2 places in LAD not serious enough for stent initially, another site with total blockage beaching off really distally but too small for intervention). I’ve been getting odd feelings in my right leg - sometimes

Excessive yawning when walking- a weird one
The past few days I've been struggling with fatigue, heavy legs and chest pain niggles, not feeling up to my usual walks. Today, I thought sod it & decided to push through & go for a walk. Did my 15 min warm up on the flat & started to walk up a slope - then I started yawning. For the next 10mins

Just diagnosed with 4.0 cm aneurysm of ascending aorta and severe calcification
Hi Friends I cannot express how shocked and dismayed I am finding out that I have severe calcification of my aorta and a 4.0 cm aneurysm. I have read that the aneurysm can be monitored yearly with imaging but there is nothing that can be done for the calcification. In the past 3 years, I have had
