I would have thought you should submit your claim now but suggest you read your policy to find out what is required by the insurance company. And if my experience of cardio rehab is anything to go by it is only a course which advises on the do's and dont's of lifestyle following a heart attack or similar, and although supervised by heart health professionals, it is unlikely there will be any further definition of your condition

this will depend on your policy wording.

l would suggest you start your Claim now & speak to your Insurers to tell them where you are up to.

Read your policy and see where you would be covered. Some consider severity. Do you have all your documentation at hand that clearly explains what happened, what the severity of your heartache was and details your treatment / meds. They still contact your doctors but it helps. But like others I don’t think cardiac rehab makes a difference to claim. It’s the incident that occurred that matters and which clause it fits under.

You could make an enquiry first rather than claim see whether and how covered and what the process is.

Hope works out for you. It can be a long process.
