Hi. Is it normal to be still getting discomfort around the heart and the odd shooting pain 2 weeks after having a heart attack and a stent fitted left descending artery? It feels like a sharp stabbing pain below my left nipple. Not excruciatingly painful but enough to be distracting and slightly worrying.

I get the odd tingly, electricity type of pain, it goes as quickly as it appears.
I've been told it's quite normal post HA and stent, I would speak to your GP though to get peace of mind.
I experienced similar after my HA & stents too. Intermittently for about a few months. I'm 7months on now & I can't remember the last time I had it.
I remember trying to describe it to the cardiologist and making myself laugh at the image of it - like a Fembot out of Austin Powers - 'it's like the pain is shooting out of my nipple, doctor'.
In all seriousness though, please do talk to your GP or cardiac nurse about it. Always best to check these things out.
All the best with your recovery
