Not sure if I should be worried but I have a pain at the right side under my shoulder blade. Lower down so not on the shoulder blade. It's constantly there and gets worse on deep breathing. Just for info Inhave liver cirrhosis and had a triple bypass surgery in Feb this year. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes thank you Katie, i tried yesterday for an appointment no luck. Called again today still no luck. So i was a bit concerned just for a little reassurance perhaps i sent the message. However, lets see if i get lucky to see my doc on the 3rd attempt. Recently, been twice to A&E waited at least 6 hours to be seen and treated. First time they diagnosed pneumonia and gave antibiotics second time it was just random high BP so they sent me back without any treatment. I don't fancy going to A&E again😌
I've been to a and e 3 times this year with pains right side and back seems to move not always in the 1 spot I was told I was borderline cirrhosis but it was 2 years after the diagnosis I was told I get 6 months scans and because my bloods come back satisfactory and they look at the previous scans one was a ct scan in 3d and there was no red flags the doctor at the hospital said it must be muscular and after 12 hours sent me home then I think I've waisted there time so any pains I get I don't even bother now sometimes I think my anxiety inflames my over thinking but Goodwick hopefully you get to the bottom of it I'm 61 maybe my pains is part of old age 👌
I was diagnosed with rule out cirrhosis. Of course you should see your physician for any new symptom. I see my Gastroenterologist the 13th. Been six months since I went. With that being said, this sight has given me more info than he has. It helps to bounce info off of one another. The only time I felt pain like you described it was due to my ascites pushing up on rib cage and from laying down to much. Couldn’t help it at the time. Hope everything is ok with you. God bless.
You can sometimes get ‘ referred pain’ from liver inflammation in your shoulder blade and it is extremely painful. So do persevere to see your doctor to get it checked out!
I appreciate everyone's input. Occasionally, insights and shared experiences from group members who've faced similar situations provide valuable guidance. This helps you understand what to watch for and how to effectively communicate with your physician for further investigation, instead of dismissing symptoms as mere muscle strains
I visited my GP today; she believes it's muscular pain. However, my ALT blood results indicate inflammation. I have a pre booked appointment with the liver specialist tomorrow it will be interesting to hear their perspective. Please note I understand that no one here is a professional, and I am not going to be holding anyone accountable.
I had a pain there same spot when i had decompensated liver had it for about a year but when i had transplant it never came back that was only 7 weeks ago never asked dr about it but must have some thing to do with liver because mine has gone
hi I have pain in my shoulder blade on right side it’s like it goes through to the front of my chest I’m on co codamol 30 mg and it’s still painful I have a large gall stone which I’m waiting to have the gall bladder removed so not sure if that’s the cause or if it’s pain related to a bad lung infection I’m recovering g from had three weeks of severe coughing and bringing up mucus have taken antibiotics but I’m still wheezing and coughing doc thinks it’s pulled muscles will take 6 to 8 weeks. But your situation I would seriously get my GP to check you out. Hope all goes well for you. Best wishes.
Thank you! We become user to these pains after a while😞 my gp also thinks it's muscular. I'll have to wait and see. Although, the blood tests which i had yesterday show slight elevations in the white blood cells and neutrophils. So there must be an infection somewhere.
