PCI is angioplasty and stents. CABG is heart bypass.
hello
Hoping I can help but only going on what you’ve said above so please forgive if misunderstood:
Percutaneous Coronary Intervention - stents mainly
CABG - coronary artery bypass graft
What it’s saying as far can see it’s implying not suitable to have these procedures. Myocardium I believe is the heart muscle and something about it makes it unviable to carry out either of the above procedures.
Maybe the following will help with information:
bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...
bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...
I hope from a information perspective the above helps, from a treatment perspective I hope they find alternative solutions for you.
I hope you get opportunity to go back and get more explanation.
Thanks I will look at these sites.
I believe your comments are 100% correct, my RCA is 100% blocked and it could be opened with considerable Risk. Cardiologist says it's not worth the Risk as the muscle area that would be supplied by opening the RCA is already 100% dead !!!
