angioplasty
I am 66 I am going for an angioplasty on the 27th November with the possibility of a stent in LAD. Very nervous. I have had LBBB since in my early 30’s so always got a slight tight chest on hills, i had an angiogram in 2012 and an MRI I was put on Bisoprolol, statins and ramipril after this. Dosage reduced

Ramipril Or Reflux - Unsure What Is Causing My Cough
Hi I had a heart attack followed by an angioplasty last month, and I am on the meds listed at the end of this message. In general terms I feel really good since the stent was fitted, and five weeks in I’m walking as much as I used to, but am still taking it easy in terms of strenuous activity. Have

Back after 5 years? Update!!
Miracles can happen (if you make them) Some weeks ago I posted this below. I have now completed, W7 R2 and twice exceeded the 'run' up to 30 mins. Don't get me wrong, it is very uncomfortable, but if you are determined enough, and ok in the knowledge that going slow will get me there, I will complete

Is My Resting Heart Rate Too Low?
Hi First time poster here. I am 62 had an angioplasty following a heart attack last month, with a single stent being fitted. I was reasonably fit through walking beforehand, and have been enjoying daily walks since the procedure, gradually building up my range on the flat, so I am very pleased at what

What really happened?
Apologies in advance for this ramble on something which is probably not a very comfortable topic on this forum but it's something I have been wondering about for some time and I just thought I'd ask you guys for any thoughts you may have. In August 2022 I had an angiogram which didn't go well and resulted

Dapagliflozin side effects
I had a heart attack and stent fitted over Christmas 2022 and have been on a cocktail of drugs since then but feel in good health. I went for a follow up angioplasty a couple of months ago and it was found that the heart attack had caused permanent damage to my heart (apparently now only 30% efficient

an anniversary
I ended up with 5 relaxing days in hospital, during the pandemic, plugged into many wires, with lovely caring nurses, and an angiogram/
angioplasty
which revealed two 80% blocked
coronary
arteries. I had no idea!

At Rock bottom
So.. I’ve reached 50, I started Peri menopause a few years ago now. The beginning of last year I was really struggling to remember things, my mental health was awful, my periods all over the place but when they came I was literally flooding and some days unable to leave the house as it was so bad. Ticagrelor bruising
I am 5 months post HA and stent. Came home very bruised from the angioplasty. That cleared up well but have had all sorts of random bruising since then. They just appear each morning from nowhere, no apparent injury or even a minor knock. Was accepting it but they seem to be getting worse the last few

Can azathioprine cause chest pains?
Hi, I have been on azathioprine tablets mostly 75mg to 100mg for my Lupus for approximately 20 years. Have been experiencing chest pains on my left side especially after excretion. I had various tests and scans but they are all negative. I had Covid last September and had to stop taking the azathioprine

Might have asked this before…..
So, I’m 56 yo now, and had an interesting experience about 7 years ago where I had two angiograms and a partial angioplasty, where I had a severe reaction to the contrast dye. I still had issues and as a result I had a CABG in 2016. Since then, I’ve had tablets because I’ve struggled with hills and

Microvascular Angina
Hello . I have recently been diagnosed with Microvascular Angina , following an Angiogram last week, that showed my major arteries are unobstructed. I had a Myocardial Perfusion Scan some months ago , that showed a moderate Ischemia under stress , and a CT Coronary Scan which showed a high calcium

Survivor 52 - my story
Whilst I have posted on others 'story' lines I realise that I've not said anything about my own in one place. So here goes ... In October of last year I had an angina attack, not sure what brought it on. Within a day or two I was in A&E with chest pains and unable to breathe. It passed and I was sent

Bruising
Third post in 3 days. Sorry new to all this! How much bruising do you think is acceptable while on ticagrelor ? I had extensive bruising after angioplasty 4 weeks ago which has cleared up nicely, but random small bruises now appearing daily without any apparent cause.

Next Steps
So in chatting with my GP he advised that the next step is for the cardio rehab nurse to discharge me to him. He said then they will see me in 12 months. Is this the norm after having STEMI and stent 7 weeks ago?
