This year has not been good. Recovering from Arterial ulcer on left leg, which needed angioplasty to restore the blood flow below the knee. Healing better than expected. Then I managed to fall out of our home lift and break my left femur, near the replacement knee which has been put in 23 years ago. Needed two operations, and a lot of metal work to put it all back together. Whilst this was going on I remained on 10mg red per day, and was wondering if I should attempt to taper down (0.5mg per day) as per the tapering schedule recommended by Dorset Lady. this has enabled me to get down from 30 to 10mg over the last 3 years.
Would appreciate some advice. Jocelyn

Getting around, off all the opiates, starting to cook, and have very nice nurse physio who has supplied zimmer frames, and a new pair of crutches. apologies for another message sent this morning as your reply ad somehow ended up in husband's folder on Montrose airbase!!
My goodness you have been through the mill recently - but as you’ve been at 10mg for quite a long time and provided you feel okay it might be worth trying…
You could go for the slightly longer taper, and see how the first few weeks go….. and if you’re not sure, then return to 10mg.
But you will need to take the plunge at some time….so fingers crossed.
